Syd's sketches have been featured on sites such as: Huffington Post, Cosmopolitan, College Humor and Sports Illustrated, to name a few, and between her original sketches and collaborations with other artists, she has amassed over 60 million online views. She won HollyShorts Best Vape Comedy for her web series Fab Life Teresa XO. Syd has appeared on network episodic TV shows and been in many films on the SYFY Network, as well as several indie feature films. Syd has also performed stand up comedy at The Comedy Store, The Improv and Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank. Syd has studied with many esteemed acting coaches, as well as voice, dialect and voice over coaches. Her hobbies include several forms of dance: salsa, tango and belly dancing. Syd hails from Marietta, Georgia, and has been based in Los Angeles since 2007, when she began her studies at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. - Syd Wilder is an actress and comedienne best known for her breakout role in the Seth Rogen directed apocalyptic horror comedy, This Is the End (2013) and her successful comedy sketches on Will Ferrell's video platform, 'Funny Or Die,' which have amassed more than 7.5 million views. Hailing from Atlanta, GA, her resume includes roles in the Sci-Fi action thriller Super Shark (2011), opposite 'John Schn'eider (I)', and the SyFy Channel's hit TV movie Piranhaconda (2012) with Michael Madsen and Rachel Hunter (I)'. Syd's other acting credits include Synergy Pictures' romantic-comedy The Love Section (2013) with Mekhi Phifer. More recently, she guest starred on the TBS comedy series Men at Work (2012). She also played the title role of 'Stacy' in the zom-com Night of the Living Deb (2015).
Syd hails from Atlanta, Georgia and was raised primarily in the South. She began acting in theatre at the age of 12, playing the lead in "Cinderella," which made her realize that acting was her passion. Before relocating to California, she pursued modeling, singing and competition cheerleading, winning a National Cheerleading Championship title on ESPN while cheering for the Georgia Allstars
After graduating early from high school, she relocated to Los Angeles with her family where she attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Her other projects include a comedy skit for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (1992) portraying Bristol Palin. Syd also made her Los Angeles stage debut in "Vampire Masquerade" at the Next Stage Theater where she choreographed a dance sequence with her co-star.
Syd has studied with the crème de la crème of acting coaches which include Lesly Kahn, Margie Haber, Ivana Chubbuck, Vincent Chase, and also has taken improv classes from LA's finest schools Upright Citizen's Brigade (UCB), Second City and The Groundlings.
