Though he's slated to direct "X-Men: Apocalypse" next, filmmaker Bryan Singer is keeping his options open with plans for another comic book adaptation.
Singer's production company Bad Hat Harry has scored the film rights to the Image Comics title "Age of Heroes" with Alex Hollister set to pen the screenplay. Marc Berliner, David Engel and Stephen Emery will produce.
Not to be confused with the Marvel comic run of the same name, the story follows a group of misfits in a fantasy land ruled by the Gods. These outcasts are brought together to protect their land once the Gods disappear, and are forced to fight monsters and other magical beings.
It's presently unclear if Singer might direct 'Heroes' after "X-Men," or will simply serve as producer.
