Directed by Matthew Goodhue and written by Bradley Fowler & Cady Lanigan. Slotherhouse follows Emily Young, a technology obsessed sorority senior trapped in the world of social currency and popularity, as she discovers the influence she can gain from cute animals after meeting an exotic pet distributor. [Note: With the film released today the UK, here’s a reposting of our review of Slotherhouse from its US debut last year]
What could possibly top the recent run of cocaine-fueled bears, sharks, and cougars? How about a cute, three-toed critter turning a sorority house into a Slotherhouse? Yes, the world’s slowest animal has turned homicidal and is carving up sorority girls like a seasoned slasher. Although, as the prologue that shows the critter getting bagged by poachers hints, this isn’t your typically chill furry tree hanger.
Emily wants to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become president of Sigma Lambda Theta, Slth for short. Unfortunately, she lacks the ruthlessness and social media presence of the current president Brianna. However, a chance meeting with Oliver, an exotic animal aficionado of dubious morality, changes everything.

A killing machine sloth named Alpha gets her claws out on a group of sorority sisters in this silly – and sadly unfunny – comedy-horror
As another academic year begins, the sisters at university sorority Sigma Lambda Theta are all a-flutter over rush week (whatever that is) and the election for this year’s sorority president; this is expected to be top mean girl Brianna (Sydney Craven) for the third year in a row. However Emily (Lisa Ambalavanar) longs to be popular too in this world where esteem is measured in social media likes and followers. Reasoning that people love interesting pets, she decides to adopt a three-toed sloth from a dodgy exotic animal importer (Stefan Kapicic) and bring it back to the sorority house. Unfortunately, no one realises until too late that the sloth, whom Emily and the others named Alpha, is a homicidal killing machine who doesn’t move all...

The live-action Titans series had tremendous potential, from its source material to the pedigrees of the talent bringing the heroes to television. Titans failed to work from the first episode to the last. As a television series, it needed a bigger budget for better effects, and the caliber of actors needed to be stronger to pull off these larger-than-life personalities.
Most of the storylines were drawn from Marv Wolfman and George Pérez’s seminal run from the early 1980s or the early issues from Geoff Johns and Mike McKone’s run in the 2000s. Both required a consistent tonality along with a budget to make the scope of the stories work.
In the fourth and final series, out now on disc from Warner Home Entertainment, the series tackled both Lex Luthor and Brother Blood. Either one could easily have been the Big Bad for these last dozen episodes, but they split the focus and,...

One would be forgiven for stepping into a film titled Slotherhouse with incredibly low expectations. The title and gimmick of the film – mass murdering sloth takes out an entire sorority – doesn’t exactly conjure visions of the masters, and frankly, the world of trash horror is so inundated with similarly themed no-budget junk, that I wouldn’t even blame a body for skipping it altogether. However, horror comedy fans with broad minds would do well not to look past this kitschy gem, Slotherhouse is not at all what you’re expecting, this killer really has claws. Emily (Lisa Ambalavanar) is a milquetoast sorority gal at Sigma Lambda Theta, an elite house with an even more elite sisterhood. Ruled over with an iron fist by chapter president...

What’s the scariest creature the world has ever known? If you said the sloth, you’re not alone. Some may find these furry bundles of lethargy charming, but a closer look reveals a devious predator lurking amidst the trees just waiting to attack us with those long, blood-soaked claws. Matthew Goodhue’s Slotherhouse pits this tree-hanging menace with another fearsome fiend: the ambitious sorority girl.
Animal lover Emily (Lisa Ambalavanar) has set her sights on the Presidential Suite of her lavish sorority house as she begins her senior year of college. Unfortunately, this means she’ll have to take down incumbent mean girl Brianna (Sydney Craven) and her team of frightened minions. Hoping to boost her social media cred, Emily adopts a three–toed sloth she names Alpha from a sketchy animal poacher and unwittingly unleashes a blood bath as the tiny assassin slices her way through the Sigma Lambda Theta sisters.

"In the jungle, she's a 'beta.' But out here, she's an 'alpha.'" Gravitas Ventures + Iconic Events have unveiled the first official trailer for Slotherhouse, the hilariously fun new slasher horror film featuring a killer sloth. Yes, seriously, it's real – and amazing. It's described as a "delightfully over-the-top and movie about a sloth that goes on a killing spree in a sorority..." In the spirit of M3GAN, Cocaine Bear, and the Chucky / Child's Play series, though I'd reckon it's more like Gremlins or Critters. Emily Young wants to be elected as her sorority's president. She adopts a cute sloth, thinking it can become the new mascot and help her win, until a string of fatalities implicate the sloth as the main suspect in the murders. It's time to meet Alpha the Killer Sloth. Starring Lisa Ambalavanar, Sydney Craven, Olivia Rouyre, Bianca Beckles-Rose, Andrew Horton, Sutter Nolan, and Grace Patterson.

It wouldn't be Titans without an exposition-heavy hour that took us away from the central conflicts.
Titans Season 4 Episode 9 will go down as one of the show's most polarizing hours because much of the developments should have happened sooner.
Gar's abilities have been the topic of much debate since the beginning of the series, and one of the biggest complaints about Titans has been how the abilities of our key players are handled.
What are the chances the series will end with a big battle involving everyone using their powers to their full potential?
The series has relied on this family theme, despite everyone tackling something deeply personal preventing them from being happy, so it has to end with everyone coming together, right?
Gar has always struggled with a sense of belonging, and even though he masked his insecurities with wit, it was interesting that the show finally leaned into his true potential.

This post contains mild spoilers for "Titans" season 4.
A new season of "Titans" is upon us, and it's more unhinged than ever before. A blend of magic and horror, season 4 delves into the supernatural as the titular team finds itself at the center of a prophecy that could end the world for good. With the introduction of the Cult of Blood and its leader Mother Mayhem (Franka Potente), "Titans" shifts gears to deliver the most formidable threat in the series yet. But as with every villain, they need some henchman to serve as cannon fodder for the heroes. Historically, it's usually random guys in S.W.A.T. gear for the Titans, but this time around, the antagonist raises the dead, because why the hell not?
In the fourth episode, "Titans" looks to explain Mother Mayhem's backstory and her intentions with Sebastian Blood (Joseph Morgan). This leads to the superhero...

The slow burn throughout Titans Season 4 paid off in a big way on Titans Season 4 Episode 6.
All plot threads came together to give us a midseason finale that felt like a season finale. Everything has changed for our superheroes, and it leaves a lot to ponder as we head into the back half of the season.
We'll start with the dawn of White Raven because that was cool as hell.
The Titans have been working through some personal things this season. The loss of Raven's powers was a huge development, sending things in an intriguing direction.
The church thought they would benefit more from the abilities, but now that White Raven is here, it makes me wonder just how strong Rachel is.
In the past, her powers have been shrouded in darkness, so it's a nice change of pace for Rachel to be in the light.
We don't know the true extent of this evolution,...

Lisa Ambalavanar plays Jinx on Titans Season 4.
TV Fanatic got to speak with the star about joining the show, what's coming up on Titans Season 4 Episode 5, and more.
Scroll down for the full interview.
Could you speak a bit about how you got involved with Titans?
It was the usual self-tape process. They were looking for someone to play Jinx, I did a couple of tapes and got the role!
When Jinx was first introduced on Titans Season 4 Episode 3, she was a character who played in the grey area. What did you like the most about that?
It was so much fun to be so cheeky and disruptive. I got to play around and improvise a lot, nearly all of which made it into the show!
There's so much I did in all my episodes that wasn't scripted, and I'm really proud of that.
I definitely put my stamp on the character.

(Welcome to ...And More, our no-frills, zero B.S. guide to when and where you can watch upcoming movies and shows, and everything else you could possibly stand to know.)
If there is one superhero show that has outlasted its expiration date, it may be "Titans." After three seasons, it seems the gritty affair will indefinitely struggle to land its lofty ambitions in a satisfying way. Despite some great ideas and themes, I've found myself wanting a lot more out of the series by the time the credits roll in each season finale. But here we are, another season is well on its way and approaching quicker than ever (or at least it feels like it).
Judging by the recent trailer, "Titans" may just be finding its stride in balancing zany superhero stuff and a horror-tinged storyline. However, I know what promises are worth. Expectations aren't sky-high this time around,...

Although the fate of Titans may be up in the air, fans still have another season of the DC series to look forward to. HBO Max has released the official trailer for Titans season 4, which introduces one of the big baddies of the DC Universe — Lex Luthor.
Described in the Titans season 4 trailer as “the only man Bruce Wayne was ever afraid of,” Lex Luthor is played by the great Titus Welliver, and he definitely makes an impact. The new season finds the Titans hitting the road back to San Francisco after having saved Gotham. But after a stop in Metropolis, they find themselves in the crosshairs of a supernatural cult with powers unlike anything they’re faced before. With three seasons under its belt, "Titans" returns to HBO Max next month to face supernatural cults, maniacal supervillains, and a very familiar face. In anticipation of its November debut, the streaming service has released a full-length trailer that pulls the veil over the jam-packed season. Among many things, the introduction of Lex Luthor (Titus Welliver), who finds himself at the center of the Cult of Blood, as well as the live-action debut of Brother Blood (Joseph Morgan). Moreover, an antagonist from the second season finally makes his long-awaited return, and I'm personally glad he's back.

The official trailer for Titans Season 4 is here, and it looks like a major step up from Titans Season 3.
The team goes toe-to-toe with plenty of villains, including Lex Luthor (Titus Welliver), Brother Blood (Joseph Morgan), and plenty more.
