Sophia works at The Walt Disney Company in Integrated Planning, driving strategic alignment across the company to support key corporate priorities. Previously, she worked in the Office of the Executive Chairman, supporting Bob Iger's Chief of Staff. She is also writing and developing her own projects: TV series "Astra", "Departure" and "The Crater" as well as feature scripts "Vengeance at Dusk" and "Bird of Passage".
At the age of 12, Sophia garnered a Roger Ebert review for her first film "A Gum's Life". With a background in Film/TV Production from USC and an MBA with an emphasis in Technology Leadership from UCLA, Sophia is a strategic thinker who takes a creative approach to problem-solving and does what it takes to see one's vision to reality, whether it be a key enterprise initiative or a TV/film concept.
After film school, Sophia joined the motion picture talent department at ICM Partners (now part of CAA) under Joe Funicello and worked on "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" and the Golden Globe and Emmy-winning TV Series "Chernobyl". She later transitioned into Fox 21, Business & Legal Affairs under Bert Salke at Walt Disney Television, managing talent deals for all Fox 21 series such as "Homeland", "Genius", "Queen of the South", "Mayans", "The Hot Zone", "The Ratched", Emmy-winning "Pose", and Golden Globe and Emmy-winning "Fosse/Verdon".
