If you think you’re going to get Nina Dobrev to tell you who Elena chooses — Stefan (Paul Wesley) or Damon (Ian Somerhalder) — in tonight’s season finale of The Vampire Diaries, think again: She hasn’t even told her mother. “She lives between Canada and Europe, so I don’t get to see my mom very much. Her way to kind of be with me is watching the show and Googling me wherever I am,” Dobrev says, with a laugh. “So on many occasions, she calls and asks for spoilers and I’ll always say, ‘Nope! Nope! I’m not telling you anything.

The Vampire Diaries Photos: Elena Flashes Back to Her Parents in the Season Finale
This is it, Vampire Diaries fans...the season finale. It's been a pretty good season, hasn't it? What with the Originals taking center stage and the introduction of Klaus' siblings and child-killing mother. Then there was Stefan, who went from good boy to bad boy back to slightly good boy again. And, of course, there's the fact that Stefan's absence caused Damon and Elena to grow closer together. Producer Julie Plec has said that Elena will choose between one of the brothers by the end of the season, so place your bets on which Salvatore she'll pick.
The season finale of The Vampire Diaries will be airing on May 11. We'll be flashing back to a time when Elena and Jeremy's parents were alive, finally introducing us to her parents, Grayson (guest star Jason MacDonald) and Miranda...

Early this season, "Vampire Diaries" producer Julie Plec told us that she'd only employ flashbacks if they helped to propel the modern day plot forward -- so when we heard about the season finale flashbacks, we couldn't help but wonder if some new information would be revealed about the car crash that killed Elena's parents.
Don't worry, fans. Plec promises that we're not about to find out that Damon was somehow involved in the accident, or any other unpleasant twist. "The flashback in the finale is a nice, small little runner that goes through the entire episode as Elena is looking back on a part of her life when things were just more simple, at least from a supernatural level," she says. "That's going to lead a lot of people to think 'Oh, they're going to reveal something huge about the way that accident went down, and I will still...

Right about now I could use a sneak peek at The Vampire Diaries’ third season finale, specifically one that will show Sara Canning’s return to the series after being dead for a year. Wouldn’t you know it; I’m getting exactly what I want! Just above this block of text is that peek at the final episode of the current season, and I must say it is quite sneaky in that it really doesn’t show us anything except Canning along with Nina Dobrev and Erin Beute hanging out in the past, just like a normal family would. If only they knew the horrors and death that await them!
In case you are confused by Canning’s reappearance as Aunt Jenna, who died quite tragically at the end of last season, I’ll let you know right now she isn’t returning from the dead. It was reported...

To help ease the pain a bit, we have some preliminary details of what we can expect from the episode along with a look at some people we've been curious about for quite some time: Jeremy and Elena's parents!

Grayson & Miranda Gilbert have been revealed! What do you think of the casting? We've already met Elena's (Nina Dobrev) dead birth parents on The Vampire Diaries, and when the season finale airs May 10, we'll also get to meet her dead adoptive parents! (What a sad family tree this girl has.) TV Guide is reporting that James MacDonald and Erin Beute have been cast as Grayson and Miranda Gilbert, the tragic couple who drowned when their car veered off Wickery Bridge. The accident will be one of several flashbacks in the episode, which will also give fans another look at the late, great Aunt Jenna (Sara Canning). What do you think of this casting choice, Vampire Diaries fans? Are Grayson and Miranda everything you hoped they would be, or do you not even care?
