Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down from their roles within the royal family in 2020, but their time as senior royals is still discussed today by some people who worked with them.
One journalist recently shared something the Duke of Sussex told a group of reporters during the couple’s high-profile tour to Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand that many found to be extremely “rude.”

The Star Wars franchise has been around since 1977, but when it comes to the best Star Wars movie of all time, one would usually find Rogue One somewhere at the top of such a list. From its impressive visuals to offering a fresh perspective on the mythos, the movie had everything a fan needed.
A still from Rogue One (2016)
Directed by Gareth Edwards, the Welsh filmmaker received a ton of praise for his 2016 sci-fi epic. But unlike any other celebrity, Edwards does not want all of the credit. Instead, he hails George Lucas and his vision for giving him the opportunity to create such a brilliant film.

Influencer marketing agency Billion Dollar Boy is launching a new membership community that’s “dedicated to empowering emerging creators in the business of being a creator.”
The community, called FiveTwoNine, will have both online and offline components, including a flagship space in London. That space will soon open for a four-month pilot phase where, in partnership with FiveTwoNine’s founding brand partner, Lipton, and six founding creators/creator brands (more on them in a sec), it’ll offer free access to amenities like soundproofed recording rooms, a podcast studio, and meeting spaces.
After the four-month pilot period, access to the London space–and any other future brick-and-morter spaces–will be priced on a tiered basis, “which will be introduced at flexible rates determined by the depth of resources and masterclasses creators wish to access,” Billion Dollar Boy says.
FiveTwoNine’s online component launches this fall, and will operate on a similar tiered pricing structure.

The Teen Mom franchise has spent years chronicling the sometimes chaotic lives of several women and men who became parents as teenagers. Over the years, the series has shared the triumphs of those teenage parents, but it’s also documented their struggles. MTV’s film crews have captured some seriously dramatic moments over the years. We’ve collected three of the most shocking Teen Mom scandals of all time.
‘Teen Mom’ scandal #1: Janelle Evans pulls a gun in road rage incident
Jace Evans spent most of his young life living with his grandmother, Barbara Evans, but that doesn’t mean his mother didn’t endanger his safety on multiple occasions. This weekend sees the release of the fifth film in WB/Legendary’s MonsterVerse saga, Godzilla x Kong: The New Era. These films have attempted to somewhat reinvent the traditional Kaiju film for Western audiences, with our mighty monster heroes being called Titans. While the franchise arguably stumbled out of the gate with Gareth Edwards’ coolly received Godzilla, the saga has steadily grown in popularity, and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is looking like a big hit. But how do the films stack up against each other? Let’s take a look with our MonsterVerse Movies Ranked List!
Godzilla:
Audiences were pretty hyped for Gareth Edwards’ 2014 Godzilla reboot, with awesome early trailers that used Ligeti’s Requiem II from 2001: A Space Odyssey, promising the most intense Kaiju movie to date. It didn’t really work out that way, with many complaining about how dull the film was,...

Scarlett Johansson is undoubtedly one of the most well-known actresses in the world right now, who has made a name for herself in numerous roles, especially as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, it appears the likely reason for her to join Jurassic World 4 is quite depressing.
Scarlett Johansson
Scarlett Johansson’s portrayal of Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies began with 2010’s Iron Man 2, where she stole the spotlight with her introductory action sequences. Since then, she has always held a commanding presence in all of her scenes in major MCU movies.
Likely Reason For Scarlett Johansson Joining ‘Jurassic World 4’ Is A Depressing One Iron Man 2
While speaking on a recent podcast, insider Jeff Sneider reported that Scarlett Johansson had discussions with Gareth and Frank Marshall about a potential movie project, though it’s uncertain if it will materialize.

Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow had been one of the primary faces of the MCU’s Infinity Saga. She amassed a huge fanbase for playing Black Widow. Now, it looks like the star is all set to join a new big-budget franchise, Jurassic World. According to the latest reports, the actress has been offered a role in the upcoming film in the franchise created by Gareth Edwards.
Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow
The fans were disheartened when Black Widow had an unfortunate end in Avengers: Endgame. The character made a massive contribution to Scarlett Johansson’s career. She also holds the record for being the second highest-grossing box office star of all time. If the reports are true and if she proceeds with the Jurassic World offer, then we may see her in another billion-dollar film franchise.

So…what is sci-fi? It’s not the easiest question to answer when “sci-fi elements” permeate so many of the biggest blockbusters: thought-provoking genre concepts flattened into one-size-fits-all franchise fodder that make countless titles “feel” and, on occasion, even look the same.
Yes, science fiction is rooted in profound origins, examining humanity’s deep-seated fear of itself and the intimidating possibility of worlds unknown. But the last two decades have seen a metaphoric rush on sci-fi storytelling that’s left the once niche subgenre a supersaturated movie market. On the one hand, that’s produced an onslaught of sci-fi(ish) titles that aren’t always up to snuff. But on the other, it’s prompted some of the best sci-fi films ever made. Masterworks like “Everything Everywhere All at Once” and “Nope” both arrived in the past two years, and top our list at number five and number eight respectively.

A BBC report into the investigation of the Huw Edwards scandal has identified shortcomings in the corporation’s process.
A review of the BBC’s non-editorial complaints process was commissioned last year in the wake of the scandal. It was led by BBC Group COO Leigh Tavaziva and Deloitte, under the direction of Simon Cuerden. The report was published on Tuesday.
Tavaziva said: “Although our existing processes and systems are, on the whole, working effectively, this review shows that we need to join them up better to ensure no matter how a non-editorial complaint comes into the BBC it is escalated swiftly, when needed, and dealt with by the right people.
“Where the review identifies process improvements we accept those in full, and we are delivering on an action plan with a number of enhancements already in place.

The BBC did not “consider the potential wider significance” of the complaint against Huw Edwards when it was logged last May, a review into the disgraced newsreader has said.
The review, published in the past few minutes, makes for uncomfortable reading for the nation’s public broadcaster and its response to the initial complaint made against Edwards. BBC Group Chief Operating Officer Leigh Tavaziva said the broadcaster has apologised to the complainant about the speed in which it was escalated.
The BBC newsreader was revealed to be the subject of a Sun exposé about a ‘BBC presenter’ who had allegedly paid a young person around £30,000 for indecent images, and Director General Tim Davie soon after ordered two reviews into the matter – one on BBC complaints processes, which published today, and the other a ‘factfinding investigation.’

Rogue One and The Creator director Gareth Edwards is set to begin filming on his Jurassic World sequel on the 31st July. More here:
In the face of at least one major production setback that we know about, Universal is keen to get going on the next Jurassic World (or Jurassic Park) movie.
In early February, The Fall Guy and Atomic Blonde's David Leitch was announced as director, only for him to depart mere days later. In his place comes Gareth Edwards, whose terrific sci-fi thriller The Creator – his first film since 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – has since been nominated for an Oscar.
It now looks as though a Jurassic filming date has been set by Universal – as spotted by World Of Reel, the Film & Television Industry Alliance’s website lists its start date as the 31st July, 2024.

A statue of the late Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister will be erected in his hometown of Burslem, which is part of the city of Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire, England.
Plans for the 2.25-meter bronze sculpture have been approved, according to the BBC, despite police concerns that the statue could generate “good-natured but potentially incident generating attention” — namely revelers climbing the plinth to pose with Lemmy or causing vandalism. It will be located in Burslem’s Market Place.
Local sculptor Andy Edwards will be constructing the statue out of Staffordshire clay, having previously created sculptures of Brian Clough and Peter Taylor at Derby County Fc and The Beatles on Liverpool’s Pier Head. An artist rendering (seen above) depicts Lemmy in his iconic stage pose, singing upward toward the skies with the microphone placed abnormally high above him.

When Godzilla gets mad, he yells at stuff. Dude loves to roar. When he's not stomping on cities, smashing King Ghidorah in the face(s), or hibernating in the Pacific, everyone's favorite nuclear gorilla-whale is sounding his barbaric yawp over the roofs of the world. The accepted spelling of Godzilla's roar is "Skreeonk," a word often seen in Godzilla comics. Since the monster's inception in 1954, Godzilla has more or less retained the same roar, with the sound only undergoing remixes and aural sweetening as sound technology evolved. The Godzilla roar from 2023's "Godzilla Minus One" is not terribly far afield from the Godzilla roar heard in Ishiro Honda's "Gojira." Enterprising Godzilla fans have compiled the various Godzilla roars into tidy video montages. It's a high-pitched wail undergirded by an animalistic growl. It is distinctly Godzilla.

Godzilla is the most famous monster in movie history, so coming up with a transcendent design in the modern day is no easy feat. The original 1954 film used special effects that were groundbreaking at the time: a man in a massive suit knocking over miniature sets. The scaly monster in that picture changed filmmaking for good, and contemporary movies are still trying to conjure up that same level of awe.
The 2010s saw a resurgence of Godzilla and his monster kin, as the American MonsterVerse series revived the classic blockbuster form. In Japan, the Reiwa era ushered in modern classics like "Shin Godzilla" and "Godzilla: Minus One." Though these films may differ in story and style, they all build upon their predecessors, creating bigger, stronger, and more technically advanced creatures than ever before.

After two slow-as-molasses months, things are about to heat up at the 2024 box office in March. Fortunately, for those more inclined to stay home as we wait out the final weeks of winter, there are plenty of alternative options for your entertainment fix to choose from on Netflix. In addition to its usual smattering of kids' shows, international releases, and comedy specials, the streamer will unveil intriguing new projects starring the likes of Millie Bobby Brown and Regina King, along with some endeavors that could only exist on Netflix.

As exciting as it is to watch a massive kaiju stomp its way through civilian territory, monster movies are nothing without an evocative, empathetic cast. You need someone to root for while Godzilla lays waste to the world, a point that last year's "Godzilla Minus One" wasted no time proving.
The 2023 Toho film struck the perfect balance between human drama and monstrous spectacle, and retroactively put America's own MonsterVerse to shame. It's no secret that Legendary Pictures' kaiju films, while visually exciting, don't offer much in the emotion department. In "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" and "Kong: Skull Island," the eponymous Titans are meant to be the true protagonists. The human cast are frequently relegated to time-worn Action Movie Tropes as a result, which doesn't make for a very dynamic or compelling experience.
It all began with 2014's "Godzilla," the Gareth Edwards film that brought the Titan back into the limelight.

Monsterverse vs Dceu
Since debuting in 2013, the DC Extended Universe has been one disaster after another for Warner Brothers. Massive critical and fan backlash, constant shake-ups in creative direction, and increasingly dwindling box office plagued the once promising franchise before it was finally put out of its misery by The Flash; though Blue Beetle and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom might still be canon depending on who you ask.
Yet at the same time, WB has helped spearhead another cinematic universe that might be the only one besides Marvel to work out in the long run. The Monsterverse: a series of films and TV shows adapting beloved Japanese kaiju such as Godzilla, alongside original monsters and American icon King Kong for good measure.

After traveling to dozens of exotic locations around the world to film New Regency’s and 20th Century Studios’ The Creator, director Gareth Edwards made one last trek that was among his most consequential: to Industrial Light & Magic in Northern California. There, he showed a rough cut of the film to the VFX pros who would be tasked with helping him make his $80 million film look like it cost $200 million, turning human actors into robots — no uncanny valley allowed — and creating futuristic cities and secret labs by augmenting real-life locations with visual effects.
Many of the key moments onscreen were filled with temporary text such as “epic Nomad shot,” a reference to the killer space station at the center of the film concerning a war between humans and artificial intelligence.

The Jurassic Park franchise based on the cult novels by Michael Crichton, got its cinematic glory through the visionary expertise of Steven Spielberg. The first film in 1993 was a pathbreaking effort in the genre that has now reached cult status. Following a sequel in 1997, Spielberg stepped down from the director’s chair and only chose to produce the 3rd film in 2001.
A still from Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park
The franchise was resurrected with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard with Jurassic World releasing in 2015. This gave rise to two more sequels in this series in 2018 and 2022. More significantly, the films were marked by the conspicuous absence of Spielberg who seemed to have washed his hands off the franchise in every capacity. Now, Gareth Edwards being officially chosen as the director for the 4th film in 2025 is reportedly confirming an inevitable reality associated with the franchise and its legacy.

A new "Jurassic World" movie on the way, and it's happening in a hurry. In the span of just a month, we learned that original "Jurassic Park" writer David Koepp has returned to the franchise to pen this mysterious new entry, Universal Pictures is planning to release the film next summer, and they are looking to begin filming in just a few months. Given that we only learned about the movie's existence several weeks ago, it's all pretty surprising. So, who will be shepherding this project through production? None other than Gareth Edwards.
We recently learned that the filmmaker behind franchise films such as 2014's "Godzilla" and "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" will occupy the director's chair. It marks the third time that Edwards will helm an installment in a long-running franchise, which is never an easy task. Yet, both times that he stepped up to the plate, Edwards...

Oscar-nominated artisans landed historical firsts in numerous categories in this year’s race. After decades in the industry, costume designer Ellen Mirojnick earned her first nod for “Oppenheimer.” Scott George became the first Osage Nation songwriter to be nominated for his song in “Killers of the Flower Moon,” while Diane Warren scored a record 15th nod. John Williams bested his record-breaking achievement when he was recognized for original score.
When they’re not making history, what makes these artisans special is their storytelling through their craft. Building worlds and environments with rich, lush textures to immerse audiences into their scapes.
Here, Variety takes a look at the nominated artisans across all the crafts ahead of the guild awards and Oscars on March 10.

Gareth Edwards has stepped in to replace David Leitch on the new Jurassic World, which is getting ready for a 2025 release.
Earlier this month, we heard that Atomic Blonde's David Leitch would be directing the new Jurassic World, only to find out a week later that that was no longer the case. Universal and Amblin needed to find a director on the double given that the film is set to release next summer and post production work will be very extensive indeed, we’d imagine.
Well, now we know who Leitch’s replacement is, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, it looks as though Gareth Edwards is returning to major franchise filmmaking as he’s in talks to direct the new Jurassic World film, set for release in 2025.
Gareth Edwards seems like the perfect fit for this project. He excels at employing visual effects and brings films in on time and on budget.

Despite Universal having Bullet Train (and the upcoming The Fall Guy) director David Leitch in talks to handle the next Jurassic World film earlier this month, that didn't work out. But the studio has now locked in an interesting choice: Rogue One and The Creator's Gareth Edwards.
It makes sense from a genre point of view: Edwards has also brought the likes of 2014's take on Godzilla to screens, so he's more than adept with big reptiles and even bigger effects assignments. With franchise godfather Steven Spielberg and veteran producer Frank Marshall involved, the script is by another experienced hand, Jurassic Park writer David Koepp. Little has been revealed about the new film, beyond the fact that it'll feature new characters and a fresh storyline despite carrying the Jurassic World moniker, so all we can guarantee at this point is dino-chaos. Welcome back, friends, to the latest episode of "As the Jurassic World Turns." When last we left our intrepid franchise (the one formerly known as "Jurassic Park"), it had just completed a trilogy of films with the "Jurassic World" rebrand moniker. Those films — 2015's "Jurassic World," 2018's "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom," and 2022's "Jurassic World Dominion," were made under the auspices of director/co-writer Colin Trevorrow (with J.A. Bayona taking over the directing duties for "Fallen Kingdom") and followed Trevorrow's outline, seeing John Hammond's dream of resurrecting dinosaurs for theme park purposes come to fruition and then go wildly out of control, resulting in the entire planet becoming overrun with once-extinct species.
Given the unfortunately tepid reception that "Dominion" received, Universal and Steven Spielberg's Amblin Partners decided to fast-track a follow-up. It's still not altogether clear what this new installment will be following up; it retains the "Jurassic World" title for now,...

“Rogue One” director Gareth Edwards is in talks to direct an all-new “Jurassic World” film for Universal. The news comes days after the studio’s negotiations with David Leitch fell apart.
The film will be executive produced by Steven Spielberg through Amblin Entertainment. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley will produce, and David Leitch and Kelly McCormick will also produce through 87North. David Koepp, the original screenwriter of “Jurassic Park” and “The Lost World: Jurassic Park,” will pen the script.
The currently untitled project, scheduled for release on July 2, 2025, will mark the beginning of a fresh storyline in the decades-spanning dinosaur series. It’s still unclear if any previous stars, including Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, Laura Dern or Jeff Goldblum, will return.
Koepp’s other scripts include “Mission: Impossible,” “Spider-Man,” “Death Becomes Her,” “Panic Room” and “War of the Worlds.” He is represented by CAA and attorney David Fox...

Sometimes, the call of nostalgia and influential blockbusters is too tempting to ignore. Despite his intended desire to stay away from blockbusters and big-brand I.P., and try and stick to original films, filmmaker Gareth Edwards is stepping in to direct the new “Jurassic World” film from writer David Koepp, the original screenwriter of Steven Spielberg’s “Jurassic Park.”
Edwards is “replacing” “Deadpool 2” and “Bullet Train” filmmaker David Leitch, who was briefly engaged in negotiations to direct the film but fell out over creative differences.

The dinosaurs are ready to roam once again.
Gareth Edwards is in talks to direct Universal’s latest installment of the Jurassic World franchise and to step into shoes that were worn, if ever so briefly, by Bullet Train filmmaker David Leitch.
Universal and Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Partners are moving as fast as hungry velociraptors on the project and have set a July 2, 2025, release date for the creature feature, making it a hot go project.
Leitch, who directed the studio’s upcoming Fall Guy action-adventure movie, was in talks in early February to helm the project, but just days later, the two sides parted ways. It became clear to Leitch that his creative input would be minimal due to the project’s fast-tracked status and because the producers wanted to wield a stronger hand after the experiences of Jurassic World: Dominion. This would also have minimized the participation of his producing partner and wife,...

Ryan Edwards may have moved in with his new girlfriend, Amanda Conner, but as far as the government is concerned, he is still married to Mackenzie Standifer. In a stunning development, the former Teen Mom star’s divorce from his wife of six years has been dismissed. That doesn’t mean Edwards and Standifer are reconciling, though. The opposite appears to be true.
Ryan Edwards and Mackenzie Standifer’s divorce case has been dismissed
A judge has dismissed Ryan Edwards and Mackenzie Standifer’s divorce. The U.S. Sun obtained court records showing that the former couple’s divorce was dismissed on Feb. 19 because no paperwork about the case had been filed in nine months. A court clerk told the publication that the case had been dismissed on “procedural steps.”

When Air Force One Down begins, Allison Miles has already made a name for herself as one of the first female Marines to qualify for special operations. That has impressed Uncle Sam, both the US government and her actual Uncle Sam, to offer her a job with the Secret Service, something she’s happy to accept.
And she’s going to get thrown in the deep end at her new job as on her first day, one of the agents on the President’s detail calls in sick. He’s one of several federal employees to suddenly come down with a bad case of lead poisoning. Sam drafts her to replace him, working with him to protect President Edwards, whom she is not a fan of, on his...
