Mumbai, May 20 (Ians) The first song of the Prabhas and Kriti Sanon-starrer Adipurush — ‘Jai Shri Ram’ — was released on Sunday by the award-winning music composer duo Ajay and Atul Gogavale, better known as Ajay-Atul, with a live orchestra.
At the launch, the duo mentioned how a magical power was with them while they composed this anthemic number. The launch of the song with a 30-member chorus along with Ajay-Atul was indeed an uplifting experience.
The duo, incidentally, have composed the music or written songs for an impressive array of films and TV serials in Hindi and Marathi, notably ‘Tumbbad’, ‘Zero’, ‘Super 30’, ‘Panipat’, ‘Tanhaji’ (helmed by ‘Adipurush’ director Om Raut) and most recently, Riteish Deshmukh’s ‘Ved’.
Speaking at length about the journey of the song, Ajay said: “The inspiration of this song is the name of the song itself. This was the first song we composed for the film.

Music composer Atul Gogavale talked about his bond with Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh and also revealed how the ‘Masti’ actor helped him and his brother Ajay by suggesting their names to the filmmakers.
Ajay-Atul appeared on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ as a celebrity guest along with Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza to promote their film ‘Ved’.
Talking about their bond and strong friendship, Atul shared: “The way Riteish has supported us in our journey by suggesting our names to makers, we don’t think anyone else could have. I still remember it was between 2010-2011, Riteish used to go and suggest our name to producers and directors. He used to not only suggest our name but also make them hear our music and request that if they think we can do justice to their film, they should collaborate with us. And yes, we got the film ‘Agneepath’ because of our brother Riteish.

It does not get much better than Rajkumar Hirani sitting in the director’s chair with Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani and Sanjay Dutt as the cast of characters in the upcoming Pk.
At its heart it is a story about Pk, a stranger in the city who asks questions no one has asked before. Pk’s innocent questions and childlike curiosity will take him on a journey of love, laughter and letting-go.
To create the music that accompanies the scenes, the situations, the relationships and the adventures of Pk, Hirani brought in the great Shantanu Moitra as well as tracks by Ajay Atul and Ankit Tiwari. Adding to the pictures are the lyrics by Swanand Kirkire and Manoj Muntashir.
After reading the synopsis and seeing the trailer I really had no idea what they would imagine the music of the film would be. So what...

Looking back at 2012 song-ically, it certainly was a year of cool sounds, new voices, groovy and groovin’ beats and over all some killer tracks. Many of the songs brought a new vibe to the music of the movies, songs flavored with new influences, and songs that we never would have thought we would hear in a Bollywood flick. There were classic beats that got us up and dancing not to mention the grooves of today that got us to move to the music. We met some new singers we can’t wait to hear more of and some of our favorites blew us away with outstanding vocals. 2012 was full of surprises and we enjoyed so many of them, 50 in fact and every single note! As always we loved these songs when they first came out but once we saw them in the movie we loved them even more! Check out...

Yes it’s a Himesh Reshammiya soundtrack – and he’s back to turning his hand at composing, something he usually does very well. With a mere four tracks (and four remixes) the Bol Bachchan soundtrack is very brief. But is it any good?
The title track Bol Bachchan opens with some nonsensical dialogue, very reminiscent of the pseudo-scientific babble that memorably opens the Amitabh Bachchan classic My Name is Anthony Gonsalves, before launching into an upbeat, rhythmic, nearly hypnotic tune (it’s an epic 6 minutes long!). I’m not generally a fan of songs that have dialogue interspersed all the way through, but this track has a mellow groove and a catchy chorus, and the Usp of the Bachchans (Amitabh and Abhishek) taking on the main burden of the vocals (with support from Ajay Devgn, Himesh Reshammiya, Mamta Sharma and Vineet Singh). If anyone stands out in this track, it’s Big B,...
