- Dick Smith was born on March 18, 1944 in Roseville, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He is a producer and director, known for First Contact (1982), The UFO Movie They Don't Want You to See (2023) and Australia (1987). He has been married to Pip Smith since March 1969. They have two children.
