The lure of a well-stocked HomeGoods is a force no decorating fiend can resist — including celebrities.
The popular décor destination, known for its huge selection of affordable (and occasionally offbeat) finds, is a favorite resource of any budget decorator. But the discount store, whose parent company Tjx Cos. recently launched a new chain of stores in the U.S., has also garnered a list of celebrity fans who, like us, will never pass up the chance to...

Chelsea Kane has a starring role on the hit sitcom Baby Daddy, but behind-the-scenes in her dressing room, another well-known actress takes center stage.
“I started my career on the Disney channel and have remained in the ‘mouse house’ in one facet or another for most of my professional life,” the 28-year-old actress tells People. Her backstage hangout, which she decorated with help from Ethan Allen and finds from their latest collection, puts the spotlight on a classic Disney icon: Minnie Mouse. “I figured it was fitting to pay homage to my favorite lady boss!” she says.

Cumbrian arts group to screen 1980s cult film at real-life location of Uncle Monty's house, with all proceeds going to charity
To Withnail and I fans, it will always be Uncle Monty's country bolthole, where alcoholic luvvie Withnail and his uptight best friend Marwood go on holiday "by mistake"; the ramshackle Lake District cottage where a rampant Monty tells Paul McGann's character he must have him, "even if it must be burglary".
But this summer the real-life Crow Crag – Sleddale Hall, near Shap in Cumbria – becomes the ultimate open-air cinema where fans like me get to endlessly parrot lines from perhaps the most quotable of quotable cult films (though The Big Lebowski might give it a run for its money).
This calls for a drink! Maybe two large gins, two pints of cider. Ice in the cider.
And perhaps the best thing about it all – in addition to the...

Ahead of this year’s addition to EA Sports’ juggernaut FIFA football game franchise, and fresh with some officially released new details, we’ve been looking forward to what we might get from FIFA 13, and here are the ten most exciting things gamers can look forward so far…
More Captured Faces Than Ever
Tech developed by Glasgow-based digital capture firm Dimensional Imaging will be used by EA Sports to pack FIFA 13 with more realistic faces than ever before, according to Mike Harrison, director of EA Capture at Electronic Arts:
“We recognised a few years ago that raising the quality of facial appearance was an increasing priority for our game teams. Working closely with Dimensional Imaging has allowed us to develop a highly accurate 3D facial capture pipeline that is now so efficient that we can apply it to more characters than we ever thought possible.”

The tricky job of making Trojan's condoms continually thinner and more pleasurable--while also ensuring their safety-- is done by a mild-mannered Brit. How does condom developer and chief principle scientist Mike Harrison do it?
Harrison arrived at Trojan in 1992 after a five-year stint working at an R&D lab for a Cambridge-based company that manufactures latex gloves and condoms. Since joining Trojan, Harrison has worked on product development, improving the company's new technology, interactions with the Fda, condom standards, and writing patents. On a daily basis, Harrison says he "searches for innovative new technologies we can put in the Trojan line. We're looking for sex to be better with Trojan products than without it."
Condoms have progressed significantly since Harrison first came to Trojan. The company already used latex and natural lamb skin condoms when Harrison joined, but three major innovations have popped up since then. One of the biggest,...

The annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is filled with sexy gizmos, but the event itself isn't a showcase for sex. For that, visitors usually pop over to the Avn Adult Entertainment Expo, which happens at the same time as CES. So why is Trojan showcasing its wares at the geeky electronics show?
"CES is a great forum for innovators and innovations. We have a reason to be here," explains Mike Harrison, Trojan's condom developer and chief principle scientist. "We're showing innovative consumer electronics products."
Trojan plans to exhibit four new items: the Tri-Phoria vibrator, the Pulse vibrator, the Twister vibrator, and the ultra-thin BareSkin condom, which is the thinnest latex condom ever produced by the company.
What makes these products unique, says Harrison, is that Trojan approaches their development like a consumer products company--each product spends up to three years in development and goes through rigorous testing with consumers at the early stages.
