The series is the official adaptation of the Korean show ‘Flower of Evil’. It follows a series of murders and unearth’s the past of the show’s lead played by Gulshan.
Resurgence of a serial killer, a copycat killer on the loose with similar modus operandi to the original dreaded killer, or the offspring of the original killer?

Actor Gulshan Devaiah, who is currently gearing up for his upcoming Ott series ‘Duranga’, has shared that it’s imperative for actors to first understand their characters and let the characters’ traits naturally precipitate in their mannerisms, and not rush to do the job without any preparations.
Elaborating on the same, the actor said, “Everything is difficult if you don’t spend enough time to figure it out and understand it.”
That’s the reason he didn’t find it difficult to make his way around his character in ‘Duranga’.
“It wasn’t difficult at all once I had enough preparation. Whether it worked remains to be seen,” he said.
Directed by Pradeep Sarkar and Aijaz Khan, ‘Duranga’ is an adaptation of a Korean show, ‘Flower of Evil’.

Hamid
Starring Talha Alshad Reshi, Vikas Kumar, Rasika Duggal
Director Aijaz Khan
Political turmoil and separatist violence have now become synonymous with Kashmir. It wasn’t always that way. Once known as heaven on earth, the paradisical importance of the violent Valley is celebrated in muted shades of innocence and redemption in this gentle saga of love trust and belief during times of acute strife.
This is a film that Majid Majidi could have made. The blend of blood and innocence is the hallmark of the Iranian auteur’s filmmaking style. Director Aijaz Khan has adapted Majidi’s style wholesale and then given it his own striking yet unostentatious twist. This is a Kashmir shrouded in militancy and yet salvaged by redemptive twists of fate which perhaps would stump even God.

Palm Springs Iff 2019: ‘Hamid’Review by Peter Belsito
I believe I’ve never seen a film from Kashmir before so this all looked and felt new.
Hamid is the story of a young village boy, a budding shipbuilder, whose loving father disappears near the film’s beginning. In his search for his dad, the boy enlists the help of God and the story drives on that relationship.
Hamid’s father, like many men in Kashmir, has suddenly gone missing, and the young boy finds his life turned upside down as he begins looking everywhere for him. Some 8,000 people have vanished since the conflicts of 1989, so it is no wonder that Hamid’s mother has become numb to tragedy, indifferent to the world around her, and unhelpful in answering Hamid’s many questions. Finally, she tells Hamid that his father has gone to God. Lonely and missing his father terribly,...

“No end to this torment/
I cry into the night.”
Ever since India became independent in 1947, the Kashmir region has been a place defined by war and conflict. Even though the ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India has brought an end to some of the turmoils, the wounds these have left behind are more than visible in the faces of people, their families and the landscape itself. To make a film about the notion of innocence seems impossible considering Kashmir’s past, but this concept initially attracted Indian director Aijaz Khan to the region as the setting for his third feature film. In a statement published on the homepage of Business Standard, Khan states how innocence may transform people and even regions, a reminder of the losses of past conflicts and the kind of qualities which may unite us all in the end.

Mumbai, Nov 10: Former model Candy Brar, latest to be evicted from "Bigg Boss - Saath 7", says she was a "nervous wreck" inside the house because of the atmosphere. She feels most of the contestants are actors and they manipulate their moods to be in the limelight.
"It was the atmosphere in there. Everybody was eager to make his or her presence felt. Most of them are actors, so they can orchestrate mood changes to suit their needs," said Candy, who was evicted Saturday.
"Someone like Aijaz Khan knows exactly how to manipulate his moods to provoke others. I couldn't do that. I am not someone from the limelight. I didn't know.

When I landed at the theatre around noon, only Wrecked by Michael Greenspan had seats left. Adrien Brody finds himself a victim of a car crash in a dark, foreboding jungle. I felt it was too contrived, did not have enough punch, enough drama, enough, well, Deliverance.
The film ended quickly enough letting me attend a discussion on Independent Cinema. Speakers: Ian Bernie, Aijaz Khan, Sunil Doshi and Madhu Mantena moderated by Meenakshi Shedde. Sunil Doshi turned out to be the best speaker, giving out advice from the Pov of a solid, experienced businessman.
Walked into the theatre that was to play Girish Kasaravalli’s Ghatashraddha. They were testing the DVD. Left immediately. If it was going to be a blown up DVD and not the original print, it did not make much sense; I can catch the film on DVD anytime. The neighboring screen had John Stockwell’s The...
