Valerie Bertinelli will not “die alone” as she suspected she would following her 2022 split from her second husband. The TV personality, who has weathered several rough years, including being unceremoniously fired from the Food Network just months ago, has someone new in her life. In a recent interview, Bertinelli talked about her new romance, but she won’t be naming any names. Her boyfriend will remain a mystery.
Valerie Bertinelli says she wasn’t expecting to fall in love
Bertinelli might want to keep the identity of her new man secret, but she isn’t shying away from discussing just how surprised she was to find herself in a new relationship. Bertinelli has discussed her love life multiple times over the years, and she was adamant that following her second divorce, she was content with being alone. Even now, in a chat with People, she insisted her new romance was never “supposed” to happen.

Valerie Bertinelli’s departure from “Kids Baking Championship” is not a cut-and-dry case of Food Network firing the “One Day at a Time” alum from her role as co-host and judge of the show. Rather, it’s the aftermath of the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned channel deciding not to renew Bertinelli’s larger exclusive deal with the network when it ended in 2022, sources tell Variety.
Bertinelli signed a multi-series deal with Food Network in 2018, which expired in 2021. The pact was extended for an additional year and came to an end in 2022, when the currently airing Season 12 of “Kids Baking Championship” was taped back to back with Season 11. Bertinelli has co-hosted and judged ‘Kids,” a spinoff of Food Network’s larger “Baking Championship” competition franchise that includes holiday and seasonal iterations, alongside Duff Goldman since it first debuted on Food Network in 2015.
“Her deal expired, they opted not to renew it.

Valerie Bertinelli has a Kardashian in her corner. The cohost and judge of Kids Baking Championship revealed in a Jan. 20 social media update that she wouldn’t be returning to the Food Network show she hosted with Duff Goldman – and the decision was not hers.
“I know that it’s business, budget cuts, right? But it really hurt my feelings to know that I’m not going to be asked back to Kids Baking Championship,” Bertinell said in the video shared on Instagram. “It really sucks.”
After the One Day at a Time Star opened up about getting cut from the show, she received an outpouring of love from loyal fans, including Khloé Kardashian.

Et has confirmed that Valerie Bertinelli is, in fact, officially divorced, but it cost her a pretty penny.
According to court documents, obtained by Et, Bertinelli and her ex, Tom Vitale, officially divorced on Nov. 22, as Bertinelli exclaimed in a video sharing news that she was officially “happily divorced.” As part of the divorce settlement, Betinelli was required to fork over 2.2 million to Vitale.
The docs also state both waived spousal support per a prenuptial agreement (it had been a point of contention during the divorce proceedings) and they will retain separate residences, with Bertinelli residing permanently in Malibu. The docs also make clear that the 2.2 million she paid Vitale is in addition to the 500,000 in cash she transferred over to his checking account on May 24.
While that may seem like a lot of cash, it definitely hasn’t put a damper on Bertinelli’s ability to celebrate. She took...

Valerie Bertinelli first became a household name in 1975 when she played Barbara Cooper on the CBS sitcom “One Day at a Time” for nine seasons. While Mackenzie Phillips as older sis Julie was the rebellious daughter in a household headed by Bonnie Franklin‘s divorced mom, Bertinelli’s upbeat character was more adept at making wisecracks. She would earn two Golden Globes as Best TV Supporting Actress but never competed for an Emmy. Even when she starred in a string of popular TV movies in the ’80s and ’90s with such ripe titles as “I Was a Mail Order Bride,” “The Seduction of Gina” and “Shattered Vows,” she was overlooked by TV’s top acting honor.
Bertinelli, 59, would spend three years starting in 2001 as a heavenly being named Gloria on “Touched by an Angel” and more recently appeared on TV Land’s “Hot in Cleveland” for five seasons until 2015 alongside of Betty White,...

Because we invite them into our homes, TV series regulars have a way of feeling like friends or even family. That is certainly true of the gang from “One Day at a Time,” the Norman Lear-created comedy series that aired on CBS from 1975 to 1984. Bonnie Franklin, who played a divorced mom and career woman who was raising her two daughters solo, and Mackenzie Phillips, who was the defiant older teen Julie, were highly relatable. She would win two Golden Globes for as Best TV Supporting Actress for her role as Barbara Cooper. But even though the actress would go on to headline a series of popular made-for-tv movies in the ’80s and ’90s with such attention-grabbing titles as “The Princess and the Cabbie” and “The Seduction of Gina” before becoming a heavenly creature...

A bad dinner almost wrecked one of the most romantic evenings in actress Valerie Bertinelli's life - she was in a foul mood when new husband Tom Vitale proposed in Italy.
Bertinelli would like to relive the 2010 moment her then-boyfriend asked her to be his wife - because she wouldn't have been so grumpy if she knew what was about to happen.
Revealing all to U.S. chat show host Ellen DeGeneres on Wednesday, she recalled, "It was our first trip ever to Italy and we're both Italian... We were in Florence. It was, like, the sunset, we had just had dinner and it was a crappy dinner, which is really not Ok in Italy.
"I went up to my room and was reading Time magazine... So I'm reading the magazine and he's got this little glint in his eye and he's lying in the bed next to me. I'm like, 'Stop it. Leave me alone' - because I'm trying to read. He's like, 'Really?' And I'm like, 'Really. I just want to read this magazine. It was a crappy dinner. We're in Italy. It should've been an amazing dinner.'
"I was really p**sed off. I just wanted to read my magazine. And then I just closed my eyes and he just puts this little box on my chest. It was from (jewellers) Tiffany's.
"I said, 'Why did you spend so much money? Why did you go to Tiffany's? You should've gone some place else with cheaper jewellery.' I don't know why he married me."
Vitale and Bertinelli exchanged vows in a surprise ceremony at their home in Malibu, California on New Year's Day.

Actress Jane Leeves had a sneaking suspicion her Hot In Cleveland co-star Valerie Bertinelli's New Year's Day party was really a wedding - because the invitation was too exact.
The former Frasier star was among the guests at Bertinelli's Malibu, California nuptials - and she wasn't surprised when the 'football party' became so much more.
Leeves insists she still thought she was there for a very special occasion when the hostess-turned-bride appeared 20 minutes before the ceremony started wearing nothing but a bath gown.
She tells news show Extra, "The invitation (said) 'Cocktails - 3 to 4; Special Event - 4.15; Pictures - 4.45...' I'm like, 'She's getting married!'"
