Every once in a while, we come across something that changes our perception of what’s real and what’s not and makes us believe in the supernatural. Detective Clayton’s story in Impuratus is no different. He used to be a man who aimed to see the logic and reasoning behind everything. Little did he know that his fate was planning to pit him against something that would change his entire worldview.
Detective Clayton (Tom Sizemore) was planning to leave his job, probably for one where he didn’t have to see dismembered pictures of men, women, and kids. Someplace where he could work while keeping his peace and faith in the world alive; unfortunately, the police department was not that place and often took a heavy toll on Clayton’s mental health. However, Clayton saw this as a necessary evil and realized he had to carry this burden.

"Is any of this real at all?!" Gravitas has revealed an official trailer for an indie supernatural thriller titled Impuratus, from filmmaker Mike Yurinko. The title is, obviously enough, a Latin word meaning "defiled, infamous, abandoned, vile." Always using mysterious Latin words is a trope with these demonic thrillers. A police detective Clayton Douglas is summoned to a remote hospital to hear a mysterious Civil War veteran's outrageous death-bed confession that forces him to consider the supernatural. With Sister Rose providing spiritual aid, Clayton is transported back in time as he uncovers the horrifying truth behind his possession. Tom Sizemore stars as Det. Douglas, with Jody Quigley, Lew Temple, Robert Miano, Silvia Spross, and Airen DeLaMater. This is a pretty wild concept – about a man alive for hundreds of years (and not a vampire) – but will the film actually be any good? Doesn't look like it in this trailer, though you never know.

Jody Quigley truly embodies the suspenseful characters that he portrays, and as a result, his latest horror movie, Impuratus, is no exception. In fact, he spent hours in a make-up chair where an expert make-up artist worked to turn him into a 90-year old man.
The 38-year-old actor, best known for the suspense thriller, Apparition, portrays two stages in the life of Daniel Glassman in Impuratus; a young Civil War soldier, and a much older version of the man on his deathbed grappling with demons.
The stunning Teaser/Promo/Scene for Impuratus — an actual scene from the movie — complete with haunting music and special effects, has already won more than 20 festival awards around the world.
Now, the producers are seeking to attain the funding needed for a green light on the production. With expert writing, a talented cast, high production values, and many twists and turns, Impuratus clearly leaves us wanting more…...

Truthfully, I was never scared by anything that happens in Apparition, a film by Quinn Saunders that is now hitting home video. But I was unsettled, at times, and disquieted, occasionally, by the atmosphere of a big empty house and its lonely inhabitant, because it strikes close to home in its thematic treatment of loneliness and despair. Doug (Jody Quigley) appears to be an affable, low-key sort of fellow, which doesn't quite square with his career as a successful Wall Street financial professional. Still, he has a lovely girlfriend named Lori (Katrina Law) and a lovely country home in upstate New York, so he must be doing something right. He and Lori get engaged, but they get into an ugly tiff after her old boyfriend...

The Nesting is a supernatural thriller from director Quinn Saunders. Previously titled Remorse, this film deals with a man, tormented by grief. Now, ghosts and hauntings linger everywhere as Doug (Jody Quigley) relives a tragedy, over and over again. This title stars Katrina Law, Lili Bordán and Airen DeLaMater. An early trailer and stills for The Nesting are hosted here. The film begins with the death of Doug's fiancee, Lori (Law). She dies violently in a car accident. Doug finds some solace in an isolated cabin. But, he also finds memories at this locale, which a spirit will not let him forget. The first trailer for the film is here. The clip shows Doug settling in to the cabin. A neighbour comes by, but she might not be who she appears to be. One part psychological thriller and one part ghost story, The Nesting will be releasing soon, once completed.
