Arguments – they’re part of life. We’re all competitive beasts, never wanting to admit fault or defeat, and will go to great lengths when defending our honor when challenged or threatened. Arguments have started wars, shattered relationships, broken families, declared victors, but have also awarded respect. A win will always be a win, but longstanding respect and admitted defeat are far greater trophies than another tally mark on a record sheet somewhere. That’s where our story begins for this group of alcohol swigging, loud mouthed master-debaters (had to make that joke once, c’mon!), connected by our love of whiskey, which is only overpowered by our love for all things pop culture – cinema, music, television, gaming, you name it. Inebriation and verbal assaulting, how could this go wrong?!
Needless to say, all we do now is argue about pop culture and hot topics of the day. Despite sounding...

Though between legs of their tour, band is still making headlines, with copyright infringment suits and shots at the reunited Van Halen.

The Black Keys have been keeping busy lately, though very little of that activity has to do with actual music.Instead, the Keys — who wrapped one leg of their El Camino world tour last month — are using their downtime to fire up the legal machine, filing a pair of copyright infringement lawsuits against Pizza Hut and the Home Depot.
The suits, filed late last week, allege that two recent commercials — one touting Pizza Hut's Cheesy Bites Pizza, the other promoting Ryobi power tools — feature music that sound a bit too much like the Keys' hits "Gold on the Ceiling" and "Lonely Boy," respectively. The Keys are seeking damages and an order preventing the continued use of the songs in the spots.The...

The Black Keys just can't seem to stay out of the headlines. One day after calling Van Halen's decision to tour without bassist Michael Anthony "f---ing retarded," the band is now suing both Pizza Hut and Home Depot for allegedly using songs from their most recent album, El Camino, without permission.
Frontman Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney, together with producer Danger Mouse, filed the suit yesterday in Los Angeles, reports Bloomberg.
The band claims that Pizza Hut used "significant portions" of its single, "Gold on the Ceiling," in an ad for Cheesy Bites Pizza. As for Home Depot, The Black Keys alleging that the home improvement retailer used the track "Lonely Boy" in a commercial for power tools.
Auberbach and Carney's lawyers called the use of the songs "a brazen and improper effort to capitalise on [the] plaintiffs' hard-earned success" in the official documents. The Black Keys claim that...

Today in rough quotes: The Black Key's Patrick Carney told Rolling Stone that it was "f---ing retarded" of Van Halen to replace Michael Anthony with Eddie Van Halen's son.
Here's the full quote:
What bands will you be checking out at Lollapalooza? I love Black Sabbath, but I don't know if I'd want to watch Black Sabbath without Bill Ward. The band is Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, Bill Ward and Ozzy. I have no interest in seeing bands with partial lineups. I just saw Van Halen without Michael Anthony. I'm not a very big Van Halen fan but it was such a f---ing bummer. Like what the f--k is the point?
Yeah, definitely.
I mean, sure, Eddie Van Halen's son is a pretty good bass player and he's a 20-year-old kid and that's cool, but like, what the f--k is that? That's f---ing retarded. If someone is able...

Michael Anthony Prozer III told Patti Stanger he was worth $400 million during his appearance on Bravo's "The Millionaire Matchmaker" in 2009, but he was singing a different tune on Monday (April 9) when he pleaded guilty in federal court to conspiracy to commit mail, wire and bank fraud, reports the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
Former Wachovia Bank financial specialist Fedor Stanley Salinas also pleaded guilty for helping Prozer fake bank statements, which made it appear as though Prozer had $21 million at Wachovia Bank, in order to get a short-term business loan for $3 million from a Georgia bank. The now-shuttered bank took a loss for the full amount.
Apparently Prozer's guilty plea was a surprise to observers, since a jury had already been selected for his trial, reports ABC News.
Prozer is facing a multiyear sentence in federal prison, and we'd be willing to bet his date from "The Millionaire Matchmaker" won't be around for visits,...

Suffice it to say that in his lengthy, lawyerly letter to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this week refusing his induction as part of the classic line-up of Guns N' Roses, singer Axl Rose had a bone (or two, or six or 20) to pick with the process.
It's hard to say who the enigmatic hard-rock icon was most mad at, but his steadfast refusal to attend the induction, or even acknowledge the honor, put him in a long tradition of rock legends who've either bashed the Rrhof for not including them (only to change their tune once their number came up) or refused to show up, not to mention the fans who've raised holy hell when their favorite bands couldn't make the cut.
