AMC Networks CEO Kristin Dolan’s compensation was $14.5 million in 2023, her first year in the top post at the cable channel giant.
According to an SEC filing posted Friday, Dolan’s base salary for the year was $1.7 million. She had $8.8 million in stock awards, $4 million in non-equity incentive plan compensation and $71,000 in “other” pay.
Dolan, the wife of company owner James Dolan, started as CEO of AMC Networks on Feb. 27, 2023, and shortly after stepped down as a member of the company’s board on March 10. Previously, Dolan had served as founder and CEO of TV analytics firm 605.
Her appointment to the CEO position came after Christina Spade, formerly CFO of AMC Networks, stepped down in November 2022 after a very brief stint as CEO, following the exit of interim CEO Matt Blank.

AMC Networks on Friday unveiled the 2023 compensation packages paid out to its leadership team after surprise executive suite turmoil a year ago at the company that operates such cable networks as AMC, IFC and Sundance TV.
Kristin Dolan, who was named CEO of the company in Feb. 2023, earned $14.6 million last year, the firm disclosed in a regulatory filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday. Stock awards worth $8.8 million and non-equity incentive plan compensation of more than $4.0 million made up the majority of her earnings, while her salary amounted to less than $1.7 million.
The executive succeeded Christina Spade after a cost-cutting program, including layoffs, was unveiled in late 2022. (Kristin Dolan is married to James Dolan, who is chairman of AMC Networks and controls the company, as well as Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp.)
A year ago, Dolan outlined her priorities. They include optimizing financials and brand impact by making...

Half an hour into “Songs About Fucking,” James Gallagher’s music documentary premiering at Tribeca on Saturday, Marc Rebillet points the microphone at a burly, bearded gentleman standing in the front row of his concert and asks, “Sir, how are you?”
“I’m great,” says the man, dressed in only his underwear and a bathrobe. “I’m pregnant and it’s yours.”
“I didn’t expect you to be here, if I’m being honest,” replies Rebillet, also robe-clad, weighing his options. “You wanna come up here and deliver this baby?”
Rebillet then invites three women — one of them actually carrying a child — up onstage to assist with the procedure, before the so-called pregnant man grabs the mic and starts rapping over a techno beat. Then, he sits down so Rebillet can thrust himself from between his legs — an infant, crying on the floor.

The Tribeca Festival excised “Film” from its name in 2021, and while it’s true that the annual celebration of all things entertainment has expanded to include plenty of television and immersive programming, the movies make it a must-attend event. This year’s lineup is no exception. It has big-name actors such as Michael Shannon and Jennifer Esposito trying their hand at directing, along with revelatory performances from stars like Nick Jonas. But what makes Tribeca so exciting is that it’s a springboard for bold new voices. As the fest gets ready to kick off on June 7, here are nine movies not to be missed.

AMC Networks has expanded the size of its board by one to 15 directors, adding Matt Blank, the longtime media executive who served as the company’s interim chief executive for a year.
He came aboard to fill the role vacated by former CEO Josh Sapan as AMC looked for a successor, ultimately promoting chief operating officer and CFO Christina Spade to the top job.
Blank was an executive at Showtime Networks since the early 1990s, including a decade as CEO. He previously held various roles at HBO. He currently serves as a director of broadcaster Cumulus Media, and public media’s CuriosityStream, and as an advisor to the D&z Media Acquisition Corp. Spac. He has served as a senior advisor to boutique investment bank The Raine Group and sat on the board of Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. and Madison Square Garden Sports Corp., AMC sister companies also owned by the Dolan family.
