The Kumbalangi Nights actor has been suffering from severe kidney failure since 2017 and has been undergoing dialysis for the last one year. She requires dialysis twice a week. It was her brother Aji, a percussionist, who was taking care of her treatment. But, three months ago, he suffered a major stroke and she has had to take care of him too. That is when she decided to seek help from others. As per reports, the Film Employees Federation of Kerala (Fefka) was helping her get the treatment, but she faced severe financial constraints after Covid-19 led to a lockdown situation. A Kerala village where the story happens, the one that the title Instagraamam (Insta-village) refers to. But then as the trailer proceeds, the slowness disappears and it is mayhem all over. The new Malayalam web series is directed by Mridul Nair and produced by Dr Leena S. Mridul has written the series with J Ramakrishna Kulur. The trailer shows a man (Sabumon) announcing a grand festival at the local temple and the villagers suggesting ideas for cultural programmes, including a dance by actor Shobana. The one-liners and music that follow suggest a comic series.

Nimisha Sajayan, a state-award winning young actor in Malayalam films, plays the woman, and with her in the house is an old woman, presumably her mother-in-law, played by Ambika Rao, another actor in Malayalam films.
