Sir Patrick Stewart, formerly of the Starship Enterprise, got himself knighted by Queen Elizabeth II on Wednesday at Buckingham Palace. A few voices in the Twitter Report feed congratulated him, but Jeff Parker believes he knows what Stewart's first knightly duty should entail.
Much of the comics world was too busy to concern themselves with such news, however, since Heroes Con is scheduled for this weekend in Charlotte, North Carolina. Bernie Wrightson, R. Stevens, Rob Liefeld and a number of other have been packing to head out to the show, as well as tweeting the booth numbers you'll find them at. A few of those are retweeted after the jump where you can also find reactions to Ken Griffey Jr.'s retirement and some hot "Losers" artwork from Jock.
It's all in the Twitter Report for June 3, 2010.

Stan Lee finished taping his "Thor" cameo yesterday, according to his tweets. He may have met some of the film's big players, but wishes that he could have had more input — no big surprise there.
Meanwhile, "Iron Man 2" may not be polished yet, but the new trailer is, and Jon Favreau wants you to watch it after the Oscars. Back in comics, Geoff Johns wants you to read a Dex-Starr/Krypto fight he's planning for the aftermath of "Blackest Night," and Ande Parks wants Brett Favre to surprise him be not being indecisive about his NFL career. Check out those tweets and some killer "Jonah Hex" art from Jeff Lemire after the jump.
It's all in the Twitter Report for March 5th, 2010.
"Thor" pt. 1: @smilinstanlee Wotta disappointment! I just finished doing my cameo for the great, upcoming Thor movie only to learn my name’s not above the title!

Spider-man 4 got squashed yesterday, with Sony pulling the plug on the Sam Raimi / Tobey Maguire sequel to the hot franchise. There were lots of script problems and creative differences, so much so that Raimi said he couldn't meet the 2011 opening date. Sony bascially said "fine, we'll just reboot" and that's what they are doing, jettisoning the entire cast and director and relaunching the movie series in 2012 with Peter Parker back in highschool.
There's a lot of talk that the reboot had been planned all along; with the success of Twilight and the cost of the team behind the current take on the franchise increasing, Sony had already commissioned a teen Spidey / Ultimate Spidey type script. The success of Avatar has also led to the studio considering a 3D version of the movie.
I'll leave it to you to decide if this is a good idea or not. Raimi worked...
