Teresa Jusino
- Writer
- Producer
- Director
Teresa Jusino (she/her) is a writer, producer, and director (who used to act once upon a time). Born and raised in New York, she is a proud bisexual, Puerto Rican, Jewish woman with ADHD. For nearly a decade, Jusino was a pop culture writer, her work appearing in outlets like Tor.com, Jezebel, Latina Magazine, Teen Vogue, the Hugo Award-nominated anthology, Chicks Unravel Time (essays about 'Doctor Who'), and feminist pop culture website, The Mary Sue, where she was an editor for three years. However, her heart has always been in television, and so she moved from NYC to LA to follow her heart.
Since then, Jusino has done development work at Topple Productions, and written two one-act plays that were produced by L.A-based theater company, Force of Nature Productions. In 2018, Jusino launched Pomonok Entertainment, a production banner incorporating a mission of alleviating homelessness into the larger mission of telling entertaining, inclusive stories. Pomonok has produced theater, podcasts, and filmed content.
Jusino was a Disruptors Fellow in 2021, and is repped by Heroes and Villains Entertainment. She lives in LA with her production sound mixer wife, who would like to inform the world her job title is "Production Sound Mixer," not "sound guy." Please adjust your job postings accordingly.
