Mount Whitney is the highest summit in Sierra Nevada and the contiguous United States. Every year, many people hike the 22-mile trail. The new thriller “Blue Jay” follows a young couple doing just that when they discover a mysterious group of mountain men who develop a dark obsession with the young woman. The film stars Sara Lindsey (“Concussion”), James Landry Hébert (“Taken”) and Travis Aaron Wade (“Supernatural”). Lindsey co-wrote the film with her then-fiancé Michael Ciulla, who also directed the feature and based it on a hiking experience he had in his own life.
