Look out, Jeffrey Katzenberg. Your throne as Hollywood’s fundraiser-in-chief just got a nudge. Heavy industry turnout: Deborah Marcus of Cis La, Bet Founder Robert Johnson, Lauren Johnson, CAA’s Richard Lovett, and Mirage and Wynn Resorts co-founder Elaine Wynn (Getty Images) Instead of working his day job helping steer the careers of award winners like Meryl Streep, Jennifer Aniston, and James Corden, CAA managing director Kevin Huvane steered a litany of industry notables to Brentwood this week to fill the coffers for the high school dropout prevention organization Communities In Schools. $800,000 later, I’d say they got the right guy.

For fans of the 2002 cult horror hit Cabin Fever, two things are for sure: never thinking about the word “pancakes” in the same way again, and preparing for a disappointing franchise. A few years after its less satisfying sequel Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever, those expectations will be tested with not one, but two prequels.
Cabin Fever: Patient Zero and its follow-up, Cabin Fever: Outbreak, reveal the origins of the virus that plagues unsuspecting campers in director Eli Roth’s original movie. Both films will be shot back-to-back, with scribe Jake Wade Wall (The Hitcher) writing Patient Zero, and screenwriting team Adam and Deborah Marcus taking on Outbreak.
Filmed on location in the Dominican Republic, Patient Zero will introduce the disease to some cruise ship passengers stranded on a research island in the Caribbean, an appropriate premise considering the recent cruise ship mishaps going on in the news lately – kudos...

The Indomina Group are pushing ahead with not one but two flesh-eating virus follow-ups to Eli Roth's creation 'Cabin Fever'. 'The Hitcher' and 'Amusement' scribe Jake Wade Wall has been tapped to pen the script for 'Cabin Fever: Patient Zero' whilst Adam Marcus and Deborah Marcus ('The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D') will be writing for 'Cabin Fever: Outbreak'. The two sequels will be shooting back to back next Spring in the Dominican Republic. Indomina have taken over the franchise and have stated that they will be producing 'at least' two more. As for plot breakdowns 'Patient Zero' will take place on a Caribbean cruise ship whilst 'Outbreak' will be held on a remote Caribbean island. Needless to say both pleasant sounding experiences end in disgusting flesh-eating faux pas. Check out the full info for both flicks below....
