Tanisha Long is a West Philadelphia born actress, writer, and comedian. She can be seen leading the BET+ comedy series Bigger as Layne Roberts. Her previous credits include MTV's Girl Code, HBO's High Maintenance, The CW's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and the Emmy nominated Warner Brothers digital series I Love Bekka and Lucy.
While shooting MTV's GirlCode she performed stand-up comedy at colleges all over the country. She also headlined Harrah's in Atlantic City.
Her mother is of African American and Panamanian ancestry. Her father is of African American and Italian ancestry. She was born and raised in West Philadelphia .
Two of her first Improv teachers were Kurt Braunohler and Kimmy Gatewood.
She studied Improv at The UCB Theater and Peoples Improv Theater in NYC and eventually became a regular performer at The Peoples Improv Theater.
