"Didn't you ever hear those old stories?" Who hasn't? Kamikaze Dogfight has released an official trailer for an indie horror film titled Backwoods, from filmmaker Thomas Smith. This sounds like old school escape-from-the-deranged-killer-in-theforest horror. High school cheerleader Molly woke bound and gagged in the trunk of her boyfriend's car. That was the high point of her night. After escaping her abductor and fleeing into the nearby forest, she comes face-to-face with the town urban legend: The Hangman, a deformed zealot said to hang male trespassers and keep the women as "brides". The film stars Isabella Alberti, Jeremy Sande, Tahj Vaughans, Micahel Anthony Bagozzi, Erin Liley, and Scott Alan Warner. This looks like a wannabe-slasher film, but I don't think this man-in-suit bad guy is going to become a new horror icon. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Thomas Smith's Backwoods, direct from YouTube: High school cheerleader Molly (Isabella Alberti...

Hallowed Ground is a horror movie that doesn’t waste any time in pulling you in as a viewer. The opening scene itself giving you a good idea of what you might be in store for.
Written by Miles Doleac, whose previous directing and writing work included features Demons (2017), The Hollow (2016) and The Historian (2014), Hallowed Ground follows the tale of a married couple who attempt to fix their marriage after turbulent times involving cheating and drifting apart, so they take a trip to a cabin in the middle of nowhere in order to get some time together. While there, they encounter Native American owners of the cabin, and a nearby clan, who are embarking on a not-so-pleasant feud over the land.

We’ve got a trailer to share with you for a new horror thriller called Hallowed Ground, which comes from director Miles Doleac.
The film is described as being "in the tradition of The Green Inferno and Deliverance." The story follows a married couple (Lindsay Anne Williams and Sherri Eakin), “trying to rebuild their relationship after an affair, travels to a secluded cabin and stumbles into a blood feud between the Native American owners of the property and the neighboring clan, who obsessively guard their land and punish those who trespass on it in terrifying ways.”
As you’ll see in the trailer, this looks like a crazy extreme, cult-ish, and masochistic kind of film. If you’re into this kind of stuff, then maybe this will be something you’ll enjoy.
The movie also stars Ritchie Montgomery, Lindsay Anne Williams, Sherri Eakin, Miles Doleac, Jeremy Sande, and Cotton Yancey.

"Our neighbors are vehemently possessive of their land..." Uncork'd Entertainment has debuted an official trailer for an indie horror film titled Hallowed Ground, the latest from filmmaker Miles Doleac. Described as "in the tradition of The Green Inferno and Deliverance," the film is about a married couple that travels to a secluded cabin in hopes of rebuilding their relationship. They stumble into a blood feud between the Native American owners of the property and the neighboring clan, who obsessively guard their land and punish those who trespass on it in terrifying ways. Starring Ritchie Montgomery, Lindsay Anne Williams, Sherri Eakin, Miles Doleac, Jeremy Sande, and Cotton Yancey. Looks a bit too extreme and cult-ish and masochistic for my tastes, but horror fans may be into it. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Miles Doleac's Hallowed Ground, direct from YouTube: A married couple (Lindsay Anne Williams & Sherri Eakin), trying...

Some DVD companies really do take the proverbial piss don’t they? Originally titled Hayride for it’s Us release, then originally solicited on Amazon as Pitchfork Murders, this throwback slasher hits DVD shelves across the UK as Halloween Haunting - complete with knock-off title treatment and cover than make this look, for all intents and purposes, as a new entry in the long-running Halloween franchise. It’s not. And there’s no way in hell it could Ever be compared to even the worst of that series!
On paper Halloween Haunting sounds like a great idea for a horror flick, blurring the lines between fact and fiction, urban legend and reality:
