Angelina Pivarnick seemingly found a way to avoid stressing about her recent drama shown on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, including her recently presented fiasco with a married man.
Season 7 of the Jersey Shore spinoff has presented multiple storylines involving Angelina, including her feud with castmate Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola.
There was the emotional meeting with her biological father and other family members she’d never known, leading to drama in Angelina’s life due to her dad continuing to ask for financial help.
In another recent episode, footage presented a story as Angelina sent DMs to several NFL players, including a married man. That brought backlash from the player’s wife.
That storyline arrived as she’d indicated earlier in the season she was potentially having issues with her fiance, Vinny Tortorella.

At the turn of the millennium, the battle lines in the boy-band wars were fairly clear. You were either on Team Backstreet Boys or Team ‘NSync. Some fans took a Switzerland-like stance and professed equal love for both groups, but they were mostly full of shit. Everyone had a favorite.
The cold war turned hot when ‘NSync’s Chris Kirkpatrick and the Backstreet Boys’ Aj McLean dated the same woman a couple of years apart. “I wanted to punch Aj’s lights out for a little while,” Kirkpatrick said years later.

Wild audition stories are a dime a dozen in Hollywood, but McLean Stevenson's "M*A*S*H" casting is one of the stranger bits of classic sitcom mythology. According to casting director Eddie Foy III (per MeTV), the actor who would go on to play beloved buffoon Colonel Henry Blake for three seasons of the long-running series first earned the part in an especially roundabout way. The casting department didn't simply have Stevenson audition but instead put him in an entirely different TV movie to get him on executive producer Gene Reynolds' radar.
"I remember McLean Stevenson, I got McLean to do [the series]," Foy recalled in an interview with the Archive of American Television. "In fact," he continued, "we snuck him in on a picture called 'Mr. and Mrs. Bo Jo Jones,' where he played an eccentric minister, and we showed it to Gene Reynolds. He said, 'I love the guy.

“Dave McLean became not only a friend, but family to me during our eight seasons together on Arrow,” Stephen Amell says of The CW superhero series crew member who took his own life on October 9. “It hurts to lose such a vibrant spirit to struggles with mental health.”
Vancouver-based genny operator McLean was a member of the Lighting and Electrical department during the Greg Berlanti- and Marc Guggenheim-EP’d series’ 2012-20 run. Just days after his 50th birthday, the father of two disappeared from his British Columbia home. His family reported him missing on October 13. His body was discovered on October 21.
Launched just before Thanksgiving, a GoFundMe appeal has been coordinated by Amell and the McLean family. The campaign has raised just under Cdn $30,000 of their Cdn$50,000 goal so far, as you can see here.

The old saw that holds "drama is easy, comedy is hard" typically refers to the fact that it is extremely difficult to actually be funny. Obviously, engaging an audience on stage or through a theater/television screen is a challenge regardless of the genre, but there's a particular skill to getting a laugh (i.e. timing) that some people simply don't possess.
And some actors are so skilled at this craft that their co-stars occasionally have a hard time keeping it together in the moment.
There are loads of stories out there about actors who were just so effortlessly funny that cast and crew members had a hard time holding it together while shooting a scene. It should come as no surprise that Robin Williams was especially adept at this. Directors aren't always as amused as everyone else, as it's their job to make sure they get at least one...

One of the biggest and some would say overused tropes in horror movies is the killer stalking people in an outdoor setting. The main series for this is, of course, the Friday the 13th series but we have nearly countless other examples to pull from. Sometimes, like today’s entry, or The Burning, these stories and movies can be based on true events and make it even more frightening. Unlike The Burning, which is based on an urban legend with the true story being far from fact, Wolf Creek (watch it Here) had an original script that was tweaked to be based on the real life killers Ivan Milat and Bradley John Murdoch...

Similar to France’s New Extremity, Australia experienced its own significant genre resurgence in the 2000s. Most agree the Land Down Under’s golden days of filmmaking began in the ’70s and then drew to a close around the late ‘80s. This period, better known as the Australian New Wave, soared to new heights after the government issued substantial support for the arts. After a steep decline in the ‘90s, though, homegrown horror made a slow but noticeable comeback in the early 21st century. And no other movie from that era is more responsible for bringing Australia back into the conversation than 2005’s bleak and stylish Wolf Creek.
It wouldn’t be a mid-2000s horror movie without the practically mandatory and hyperbolic “based on true events” promotion. In this case, though, Wolf Creek is indeed inspired by a ripped-from-the-headlines true crime. Several, in fact. Ivan Milat, who died in...

While the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards weren't held live on May 7, some of Hollywood's biggest stars still got their moment during the prerecorded show. In the lead-up to Sunday, the ceremony planned for Barker Hangar in Los Angeles was scrapped amid the Writers Guild of America strike. Host Drew Barrymore stepped back from the gig in support of the striking writers, and the decision to do without a red carpet closely followed. Heading into the weekend, it was confirmed that the event would not be held in its original form.
Still, big names accepted their popcorn trophies through video clips, including Tom Cruise, who was piloting a plane while expressing his gratitude for his win for best performance in a movie for "Top Gun: Maverick."

I have been consumed by this film.
The critically sharp, instantly poetic statement — “Ear for Eye” — conjures bursts of fiery rebuke, torrents of unassailable truths, waves of acute emotion that leap into your heart to root you back into a cathartic lineage. What happens to a dream deferred, not once, but several times? It doesn’t wither on the vine. It becomes sour, and rightfully distasteful.
For Black folks, it often feels like the dream has been so delayed that it now only exists in pained whispers and fractured promises. It happened during postbellum reconstruction, during the post-World War II boom, and again during the Civil Rights and Black Power movement. And now, over two years out from the summer of Black Lives Matter that was meant to alter everything — it has happened again.

If there was any indication of how Bad Cinderella’s Broadway run would go, it was apparent during the show’s Oct. 3 announcement. Actress Linedy Genao, who plays the titular Cinderella, addressed a gathered crowd of media, fans, and a ravenous online audience ready to see how the American attempt of the short-lived London musical would work.
“But I do have one thing to tell you,” Genao said into the mic, while composer Andrew Lloyd Weber looked on from the sides. “I’m not your Cinderella. I’m your bad Cinderella.

Black Water is one of those rare instances where “based on true events” isn’t just a gratuitous tagline. The 2007 movie (later followed by an unrelated and more polished-looking sequel) is in fact inspired by an event from a few years earlier — near the Finniss River in the Northern Territory of Australia, two people were stranded in a tree after a massive predator killed their friend, then continued to stalk them. While that real-life account and this piece of fiction are substantially different in most respects, they both illustrate the terrifying unpredictability of “salties.”
After spending Christmas vacation with family, Black Water’s three main characters set off on a number of small adventures before returning to their humdrum lives. It’s only when sisters Lee and Grace and Grace’s husband Adam (Andy Rodoreda) go fishing in a mangrove do they encounter one of Australia’s most dangerous residents.

Aj McLean is opening up about his 9-year-old daughter's recent decision to change her name to Elliott. Ahead of Friday's season two finale of "RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race" (in which Aj is facing off against Tatyana Ali and Mark Indelicato for the title of America's next celebrity drag superstar), the 44-year-old father of two tells Popsugar that the new name isn't a "sexual or transgender thing" for Elliott.
Even though Aj and his wife, Rochelle, only recently revealed Elliott's name change to the public, the Backstreet Boys singer says she's been using the moniker for over a year. "It took some getting used to. But I tell people, she's Elliott," Aj says. "But if she's in deep doo-doo, she's Ava James McClean, and that's how she knows she's in some serious, serious hot water with daddy. If I full name her, she knows."

Whether it’s shimmying to Christina Aguilera’s “Show Me How You Burlesque” or channeling Dolly Parton while performing “9 to 5,” Aj McLean says competing on RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race has been one of the most “liberating” experiences of his life — and even prompted him to undergo cosmetic surgery. The 44-year-old Backstreet Boy veteran was recently revealed as the celebrity behind “Poppy Love” on the VH1 show, and his latest performance — doing Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” — landed him a spot in Friday’s grand finale. While it’s hardly the first time the musician has defied gender expectations with his style he says the competition brought him an even deeper level of satisfaction. “It was so ...

Aj McLean has been performing practically all of his life, but his experience on season two of "RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race" is unlike anything the singer has ever done before. The 44-year-old Backstreet Boy is the star behind the fabulous Poppy Love, and as he heads into Friday's finale - competing against Tatyana Ali (Chakra 7) and Mark Indelicato (Thirsty Von Trapp) - he's reflecting on his whirlwind journey on the show.
"It's different, obviously," McLean tells Popsugar of how performing as Poppy Love compares to taking the stage with the Backstreet Boys. "And anytime you're doing something on your own, when you come out of a group, all the weight kind of falls on your shoulders, so you have to carry the performance. You have to carry whatever it is that you're doing. You don't have four other guys to lean on."

Aj McLean has reached a major milestone. As the Backstreet Boys star celebrated one year of sobriety, he reflected on how his journey has benefitted him both mentally and physically. "Drinking caused weight gain," he told Today in an interview published Sept. 27, "but it also weighed down my mental state." From a physical standpoint, McLean shared that he's "in the best shape of his life," losing 32 pounds since February by removing alcohol and fast-food from his diet, eating more protein and exercising five days a week. "I weighed myself this morning," the singer, who's documented his transformation on social media, continued, "and...

Aj McLean‘s daughter is making her own way in the world, looking for a more “unique” name than the one she was given at birth.
In an Instagram story post on Wednesday, McLean’s wife, Rochelle Karidis, addresses the couple’s 9-year-old daughter and why she requested to have her name changed from “Ava” to “Elliot.”
“For those asking… not that it’s anyone’s business,” she begins, “but Elliot’s name change is not a gender thing. ‘Ava’ has changed her name quite a few times since she was about five. Last year she asked us to start calling her Elliot and it stuck. She wanted something unique that no one else had. (There are so many Ava’s.)”
Rochelle continues: “I didn’t really see the harm in respecting her desire to be unique. Come to think of it, it’s a little odd that as parents...

Netflix has nearly completed its about-face about commercials. While we now know its ad-tech partner (Microsoft) and when it will launch (“early 2023”), there’s still much we do not know about AVOD Netflix. Like, which shows (and movies) will Netflix put ads on anyway?
The short answer is most — but not all — content. “The vast majority of what people watch on Netflix we can include in the ad-supported tier — today,” the company’s Co-CEO and Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos said on Tuesday’s Q2 earnings conference call. “We will clear some additional content — but certainly not all of it.”
Sarandos was responding to what is understood as one of Netflix’s biggest hurdles to launching commercials: Actually getting permission. It needs to renegotiate at least some contracts for third-party shows like “Breaking Bad” and also Netflix Originals that are produced by other studios. Sony makes “The Crown,” for instance.
