Chris Cash(I)
- Composer
Chris Cash is a composer, arranger & musician based out of Chicago.
After having graduated DePaul University's music school, Chris started
building his own recording studio, and quickly placed some of his first
Electronica efforts on MTV. He then went on to produce and co-write
Chicago artist Dayna Malow's well received debut album Anywhere But
Here, and that lead to other writing, producing and arranging jobs with
other local artist in a variety of styles including Country, Hip-Hop,
Folk, Pop, Jazz and Rock.
Along the way he has built a strong partnership with Director, Paul Kampf of Breadline Productions. In his first feature film submission, Chris was chosen to compose and record the entire score for 'Brothers Three: American Gothic' - Featuring Patrick Wilson, John Heard and Neal McDonough. This film also fulfilled a long time dream for Chris, as he was able to mix his music at George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch.
Although the success of this movie has created a high demand for Chris' talent, he continues to work closely with Paul on a number of fronts. He recently finished all composition and recording for Paul's second award winning feature, 'From Grace' as well as the short films 'For What Is' and 'Life Support' and the partnership continues on a number of unique short film projects, and collaborations for the stage.
Chris' compositions were also singled out for praise by the LA Times for the stage play '11, September' with the paper saying, "There are other assets, particularly...composer Chris Cash's interstitial music"
Current projects include producing Hurry Up and Relax, the debut album from Sugarcreek Road, and scoring the new film, 'In-Between Engagements', both projects set for release in 2013.
