- In 1992, at age 25, Lloyd Klein became the youngest designer in Paris to hold the position of Creative Director for an established House of Couture as a successor. He was also the the first successor of any age to succeed Madame Gres as Creative Director for GRES-Paris.
- Winner of "The Best" Awards in 1997 for Best Womens Wear Designer. The Best is an annual awards event in Europe that recently had it's 35th year of awarding the the top individuals in the arts. Massimo Gargia publisher of "The Best" magazine, founded the annual awards event and is still involved until today.
- In February 2014 Lloyd Klein was diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer. He announced the news by appearing at the LA Fashion Awards completely bald as a side effect of his chemotherapy treatments. The same evening he was awarded with the "Fashion Icon" an award given in recognition of raising the standard of excellence in the fashion industry,.
- Halston, Hubert de Givenchy, and Madame Gres were among the most influential to Lloyd Klein's style of design which is recognized as belonging to the genre of "Classicism".
