Peter Force has worked in the advertising industry for almost 400 years. He studied art at the internationally renowned Townsville TAFE College in Far North Queensland, Australia, spent a few years in Melbourne scribbling ads for a local newspaper and then moved to London where he was snapped up by Saatchi & Saatchi advertising.
Peter returned to Australia with an outrageous British accent, secured a position at a small advertising agency, and after years of being paid in bottle tops and pornographic magazines, was headhunted by Saatchi & Saatchi advertising in New Zealand. Once there he honed his skills as an international award-winning copywriter, art director, ski bum and father.
After a sudden and surreal mid-life crisis, Peter formed a band, founded a musical genre known as middle-aged angst and embarked on a tour that included such musical hot-spots as Dubbo and New Plymouth. He then became a freelance advertising creative and turned his attention to scriptwriting. Peter has since written, directed and sold short films and was chosen as a semi-finalist at the prestigious Nicholl Fellowship feature screenwriting competition.
