For some fans, the arc of X-Men as mutant outsiders fighting for their right to fit in, be represented, or at best, to co-exist beside humans, feels more real than the world they live in. As such, Professor Xavierʼs never-ending struggle to mediate, guide, lead, train, shelter, and sometimes pioneer the war against injustice and suffering also resonates among fans who see themselves as outsiders.

In Charles Xavier, the Billy Jean singer saw himself while the rest of the world associated themselves with the remainder of the X-Men.

The family of Michael Jackson is divided over legal issues regarding his estate. Katherine Jackson is requesting that the estate pay her legal fees in relation to an appeals case she is pursuing. Michael’s son, Bigi Jackson, does not approve of his grandmother using estate funds for this purpose. Here are the inside details of the fight for Michael Jackson’s estate.
Co-Executors Make A $600 Million Business Deal With Sony
Attorney John Branca and A&r executive John McClain are the co-executors of Michael Jackson’s estate. Last year, the pair received a ruling in their favor in probate court. They wanted to sell half of Mj’s music catalog to Sony for a reported $600 million. The court ruling allowed them to move forward with the deal, even though Katherine Jackson was strongly against it.
Katherine Jackson is now trying to file an appeal to take back the court’s decision.

Joseph Fiennes opened up about his role in playing Michael Jackson in a 2016 episode of Urban Myths.
In a recent interview with The Guardian, the Shakespeare In Love actor said that people were “right to be upset” and that giving him the role “was a wrong decision” and a “bad mistake.” The decision to cast Fiennes as Michael Jackson caused a significant backlash, accusing the actor of “whitewashing.”
Fans even created a petition to boycott the episode.
“Despite a public struggle with vitiligo, a rare skin disorder that results in the loss of pigment, [Jackson] identified in interviews as a proud black man, and went out of his way to fight for better treatment of black artists in the entertainment industry,” the petition stated.
Jackson’s family was outraged by the casting decision. His daughter, Paris Jackson, tweeted in 2017, “I’m so incredibly offended by it, as I’m sure plenty of people are as well,...

It's not the same as it was, ever since Harry Styles landed on the latest cover of Rolling Stone. On Aug. 22, the music magazine unveiled the cover for the October/November issue of its U.K. edition, which featured the "As It Was" singer wearing only a pair of pink sequined boxers and a white fur coat while holding a lit birthday cake. Teasing its interview with Harry, the outlet printed as a subhead under the 28-year-old's name: "How the new King of Pop set the music world flame." Given how the title has been commonly associated with Michael Jackson, the late hitmaker's nephew, Taj Jackson, took issue with it and wasn't afraid to confront the...

About 2 million viewers tuned into controversial Michael Jackson documentary “Leaving Neverland” in Britain this week as the pop superstar’s fans took to the streets and plastered London buses with messages protesting his innocence, and his nephew sought funding for a series refuting the sex-abuse allegations made in the film.
The two-part documentary was broadcast on Wednesday and Thursday nights on free-to-air network Channel 4, which produced the film along with HBO. Part 1 peaked at 2.4 million viewers and averaged 2.1 million. The second part was down slightly with a peak of 2.2 million and 1.9 million average, which equates to a 12% share of the British audience. Those figures are more than double the usual audience for Channel 4’s 9 p.m. slot and eclipsed the viewership numbers on HBO in the U.S.
However, the documentary was beaten both nights by Jeremy Clarkson’s “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” reboot on ITV and...

Michael Jackson fans gathered outside Channel 4’s London headquarters Wednesday to protest the broadcaster’s planned airing of “Leaving Neverland,” the controversial documentary about alleged sexual abuse by the late pop superstar.
Jackson’s supporters have called the documentary, by HBO and Channel 4, an unjustified smear on the singer’s reputation. Channel 4 issued a strongly worded defense of its decision to air the documentary in two parts, starting Wednesday evening. It said that showing “Leaving Neverland” was in the public interest and that viewers could reach their own conclusions.
The protest was organized via the Michael Jackson’s Children United Worldwide – Hospital Fund group on Facebook. It called for people to attend a peaceful protest “to Boycott releasing of disgusting documentary ‘Leaving Neverland’ in UK TV.”

The Southern Christian Leadership Conference has written a letter to HBO asking the network to reconsider airing “Leaving Neverland,” the two-part film about Michael Jackson’s alleged sexual abuse of minors that’s set to premiere on the network Sunday and Monday. President/CEO Dr. Charles Steele invoked the civil rights organization’s founder, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., in defending Jackson against the documentary, which he called “an affront to his legacy” and a “posthumous lynching.”
“It troubles me that HBO/At&T/Warner Media would lodge allegations against someone who is deceased and not able to defend himself,” Steele said in a Feb. 27 letter to HBO. “These same allegations, when raised in trial in a court of law during Michael Jackson’s lifetime, affirmed his innocence,” he continued, referring to the 2005 trial in which the two then-minors, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, now claim they were forced into lying...

In the decade since Michael Jackson’s death, the late singer’s estate has turned what had been a financial disaster into one of entertainment’s most lucrative properties. But now, the upcoming documentary “Leaving Neverland” threatens to upend all of that — and the estate is in full-blown damage control mode.
Directed by Dan Reed, “Leaving Neverland” was a sensation at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, where it was met with a standing ovation. HBO, which produced the doc with Channel 4, will air the two-part, four-hour film on Sunday, March 3, and Monday, March 4.
The doc centers on two accusers, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, now in their 30s, who recount in graphic detail how they were sexually abused by Jackson starting at very young ages. “The sexual activities are described with unnerving candor, and one’s inevitable response is to recoil in horror at Michael Jackson’s predatory sickness,...

It's been over two years since we've seen Michael Jackson's youngest son, Blanket, out at a public event -- meaning this Jackson family portrait is one of the best photos we've seen of him, well, ever. While on a recent camping trip in northern California, where they were filming their new Lifetime reality series "The Jacksons: Next Generation," we see Blanket alongside cousins Siggy Jackson, brother Prince Jackson, Taryll Jackson, Jaafar Jackson, Royal Jackson, Jermajesty Jackson, Taj Jackson, Tj Jackson and Donte Jackson. Sporting a blue t-shirt, athletic pants and sneakers, the 13-year-old is front and center, sporting his trademark long locks beside his smiling family members. Prince, 18, leans against a tree behind him, wearing a hoodie. Sister Paris, 17, chose not to participate in the series. "The only way we would do this show was if it was stipulated that they wouldn’t have to do the show at all,...

The Big Reunion's 3T proved that they have a lot of work to do when Digital Spy met them - by forgetting their lyrics.
Tj Jackson was told off by his brothers when DS tested the trio on the lyrics to 'Anything' and he got the next line wrong.
"The worst part is, that's his line," Taryll Jackson joked.
Elsewhere, the trio explained that performing comes naturally to them but admitted that they've found it tough to open up about the highs and lows of their career.
"It's hard, because naturally we don't open up, and this show is all about opening up and letting people know your story," Taj Jackson said. "As Jacksons, you're kind of reserved. So that was kind of a hurdle for us."
The Big Reunion begins on Thursday (February 6) at 9pm on ITV2.
