- Carmichael was born 17 May 1990, Aschaffenburg, Germany and lived over seas for 2 years until he and his parents moved to America, where he grew up in the desolate town of Elko, Minnesota. From his father's raising, he became a fan of Action, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Superheroes, but through his friends, he's learned to love and admire many more genres and stories.
Carmichael's passion lies as an Editor, Director, and Writer. His inspiration in story telling comes from many pictures, animes, comic books, and television shows. Carmichael's biggest dream as a picture maker, is to be a respectable artist among the great many in the world.
The largest Filmmakers in his life are Akira Kurosawa, Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson, Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese, Guillermo del Toro, and Bruce Lee. With these names, he keeps in mind their body of work and work ethics as he moves on from picture to picture.
The first time he picked up a motion picture camera was his dad's roommate's when he was 8 years old, he filmed himself walking through a park. When he was in junior-high he made a short video with classmates on imovie. In high-school he made a light-saber trailer; that he rotoscoped himself. In his Senior year he made a ten minute short movie (shot in his high school) about a kid escaping a mental institution after being blamed for his mother's death. The short film got him a small scholarship at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.
He moved down to Florida right after graduation and began his study in video production. After a little more than a year at AiFL. He has made some small class projects that can be seen on the Internet, and the short film "Hindsight" with Director and Cinematographer Joe Spit. He then moved to New York and transferred to the AiNYC. After a year, he then moved out of the city to Binghamton and studied theater and worked on his unfinished pictures. On the morning after Christmas day of 2011, he set out to drive across the country to California.
Welcomed to California with a big bill saying this state will cost an arm and leg to live in, he continues to push the independent filmmaking through Youtube and to hopefully help spread the professional medium of the internet via Youtube.
