Where the Dead Go To Die is nearly indescribable, but I will make an attempt to do it justice, despite having never seen anything like it before. The latest made-for-cult horror film from Unearthed Films and director Jimmy Screamerclauz (and he’s not the only member of the cast and crew to go by such a creative alias), it’s a strangely animated and taboo-filled journey through a morbid little town that I can only assume must be the place the title is referencing, for everyone in it is either dead, dying, or wants to die. The look of the film is odd to say the least: much of the character design resembles early 90s PC games and older versions of the Sims, in particular the characters’ jerky motions and the way their mouths never, ever seem to match up to the dialogue that they are speaking. The backgrounds are more similar to flat,...

“Jimmy ScreamerClauz has one bloody-ass freaking imagination that you’d expect from a drug induced psychotic who just lost his mind. The damn film is inventive as hell and for that alone it deserves a place in the cinematic anals of movie making mind f*cks.”

Writer/director/animator Jimmy ScreamerClauz’s “Liquid Memories” is one of the most disturbing films I’ve ever seen, and that’s not just the hyperbole talking. There are scenes in that movie that are just as vivid to this day as they were when I watched the flick a few months ago. Despite the picture’s somewhat crude animation and the its frequently incoherent dream-like story, this freakish little short charmed the meat pants off of me, and, thanks to the folks at Unearthed Films, I won’t have to wait that long for a follow-up. Sounds good to me! “Where the Dead Go to Die”, which will arrive courtesy of the aforementioned distributor next year, appears to borrow quite a bit of footage from “Liquid Memories”, a fact that would generally annoy me to no end. However, since practically nobody I know has seen “Liquid Memories”, I really don’t care.

How do I even begin to describe director Jimmy ScreamerClauz’s 2010 animated horror outing “Liquid Memories”? Attempting to do so would be akin to relating the contents of an acid trip to someone who’s never taken a hallucinogenic drug. It’s hard to imagine how an individual could accurately transfer this mind-boggling madness from their brain to the screen. I am in awe.The strangest thing about the entire experience is its presentation; the film feels like a cut scene from an early Playstation 2 game, albeit one that features a woman pleasing herself by fingering the baby head growing between her legs. Did that sentence make sense to you? If so, I’m sorry. The story itself is pretty heady: An emotionally unstable man, unable to unravel the infinite mysteries of death, decides to completely wipe the dreary subject from his memories. In order to do so, he has...

Low budget New Jersey filmmaker and musician Jimmy Creamer (better known in some quarters as ScreamerClauz), known for his experimental videos and animated shorts that combine some of the strangest computer graphic effects and weird music, brings us a feature film that uses all elements from his shorts and music videos by using creative computer effects and incorporating them into a live action film with sick gore and make-up effects. All these elements combined give us what is quite possibly the best experimental mindfuck done on a miniscule budget since Eric Stanze’s Ice From the Sun and Andy Copp’s The Mutilation Man.

The teasing is over! This here is the real deal. The moment we wait all year for: The lineup for the powerful, the mighty Boston Underground Film Festival, which is set to run March 25 to April 1. Now in its 12th year, Buff shows no sign of slowing down or taking it easy. In fact, this might be their most demented and transgressive edition yet.
There are homages to Giallo horror, tributes to the grand grindhouse tradition of sleaze and exploitation, sex and violence galore — both separately and together — plus, a resurrected ’80s slasher classic that all combine into an epic celebration of everything that is vicious and twisted in this world. But, in a fun way, ya know.
Alas, I haven’t seen any of the feature films that are playing this year, so I can’t offer any special recommendations of those. Although, there are many (most) that I...

Here at JustPressPlay, we get a lot of solicits from independent productions announcing their latest project. A lot of them have a hard time standing out, but once in a while, there's a movie that comes across our way that's just too attractive to ignore. Yes, I'm using "attractive" liberally here—after all, the movie is called Dogshit.
Just what the hell is Dogshit? It appears to be a surreal post-apocalyptic live action-animation hybrid from director Jimmy Creamer, better known (among his subjects, I guess) as speedcore artist "ScreamerClauz." Check out the crazy synopsis of his film, then the 5-minute trailer below.
Society is ruled over by a giant dog that is using the recent surge of monster attacks to try and convince his people to sign up for "optional" brain surgery. A self appointed "monster hunter" in a pink bunny suit (Brandon Slagle - Kinky Killers, Methodic) is the...

Wow. Honestly, I don’t know what to say. It’s written and directed by Jimmy Creamer, aka ScreamerClauz, and they’re halfway through the shoot, with a late 2010 release date (around Halloween) expected. It’s … different, I’ll give it that. Society is ruled over by a giant dog that is using the recent surge of monster attacks to try and convince his people to sign up for “optional” brain surgery. A self appointed “monster hunter” in a pink bunny suit (Brandon Slagle – Kinky Killers, Methodic) is the only person brave enough to stand up to the creatures but soon runs into trouble when his girlfriend (Ruby Larocca – Shadow: Dead Riot, Ice Cream Sunday) is kidnapped by the Macaroni Gang. He goes on a warpath through the seedy underworld of The Dog’s dystopian society while trying to fight hallucinations brought on talking worms living inside his large intestine.

I have no idea how to describe Jimmy Creamer's live-action/animated movie Dogshit... And after watching the trailer I'm not sure I want to. Society is ruled over by a giant dog that is using the recent surge of monster attacks to try and convince his people to sign up for "optional" brain surgery. A self appointed "monster hunter" in a pink bunny suit is the only person brave enough to stand up to the creatures but soon runs into trouble when his girlfriend is kidnapped by the Macaroni Gang. Dogshit blends live action and animation together to create a psychedelic nightmare world of doom and despair, and other awesome keywords.
