Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I thought of a better name for Impact…Glory Wrestling Combat. F–k you! It’s good! You’d call it Glory for short and it’d be a great way to remake Impact in the same vein as Pride, Bellator or Pancrase. You already have Bound For Glory, so the biggest show of the year now has a luster to it that it arguably didn’t have before, because it is the only show that has the name of the promotion in it. Shut up! It is so a good idea…or not. Whatever. F–k you. We have…wait…I forgot to write my Slammiversary review. Here’s the score for each match:

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the big finale before No Surrender, which includes the contract signing between Tommy Dreamer and Rich Swann…a contract signing? Jesus. Wrestling promoters wonder why no one wants to watch wrestling anymore and it’s because of all the damn talking. Silly or serious, talking in wrestling doesn’t draw and never will. Wrestling is not acting, even though there is certainly some performing when you sell moves or have a character that is a bit different from you that you are portraying. You’d think that on an occasion where you are pushing a match of respect between a gracious champion and an honorable challenger, you’d want to tease that the match in question could be in jeopardy. By having a World Title match featuring Swann fighting a challenger...

The Notorious B.I.G.’s son, Christopher Jordan “Cj” Wallace, has released a house remix of his late father’s hit “Big Poppa.”
The instrumental comes from the upcoming collection Ready to Dance, co-produced by Cj Wallace and featuring reimagined dance renditions of Biggie’s music, with the rapper’s vocals stripped and the samples reconfigured to create a new spin on hip-hop classics.
“Big Poppa (House Mix)” was produced by Wallace alongside Jonathan Hay, Sarah Rush, and Willie Mack.
“This process has been an enlightening wake-up call and an adulting experience for me.

Also, coronavirus is killing people, so take that seriously, but remember that there are a lot of other things that are killing people which are not taken seriously. Welcome to this review of Impact Wrestling: Sacrifice 2020, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I hope this isn’t like that Hellraiser movie. Jesus wept…when he saw how much of a mess that Pinhead/Priest/Dick Cheney guy made when he ripped Donnie Darko apart, not once but twice. Luckily for us, we have wrestling instead, which makes me happy…and a host of other things not fit for print.
Match #1: The North (Ethan Page & Josh Alexander) def. Rascalz (Trey & Wentz) – Impact Tag Team Championships The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:

Trey tags into the match and goes on the attack. Trey launches himself into the air but gets cut off by a huge superkick from Page.

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I look like Jordynne Grace, but with marshmallows in my mouth. We’ve got the final build for Sacrifice, so don’t go anywhere…except the bathroom…and to work…and to your kid’s little league game. Yeah, go to those things, but stay here after those are done for Impact Wrestling.

Welcome to this edition of The Last Week In Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and the critics hated Rey being a Palpatine. They actually thought that being a nobody was more devastating than being the descendant of the Emperor. I’d rather be Marge Debruge’s son than Adolf Hitler’s kid, if you catch my drift. That argument for Rise Of Skywalker being terrible is so stupid…there are many reasons to dislike Rise Of Skywalker, but Rey being cursed as the spawn of evil is not one of them. Did Rey even care who her parents were in The Force Awakens? I was under the impression Rey knew who here parents were and didn’t give a s— that they were poor. Any-way, I’m prattling on because wrestling often feels like this argument about Rey in Rise Of Skywalker, that being completely stupid.

Welcome to this review of Impact Wrestling’s Motown Showdown 2019, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have some big matches here to get to, so let’s not waste any time with talking about anything else.
Match #1: Ace Austin defeated Dez – X-Division Title Match
My Opinion: 3.5 out of 5 – This turned out to be a very clear, concise match that had plenty of action that made this a worthy opener. Ace is quickly becoming a great champion and if he can have a few more big title defenses like this one he’ll be on his way to becoming a top draw.
Match #2: Larry D defeated Jamal King
My Opinion: 1.4 out of 5 - This was not much of a match in the way you would hope from a signature show, but Larry D looked good in his first official roster bout.

Welcome to this review of Impact Wrestling’s No Surrender 2019, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Rich Swann getting his title shot against Sami Callihan. There’s a lot of matches here, but I’d rather have too many than too few. Okay, let’s get right in there.
Match #1: Trey def. Tyler Matrix & Logan James The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
Trey takes James off his feet with a dropkick. James hits Matrix with a double foot stomp. James dives to the outside, taking out both of his opponents. Trey connects with a Moonsault to the floor. Trey locks James in a submission while hitting Matrix with a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Trey hits James with double knees off the top to win.
My Opinion: 2.4 out of 5 – Trey looked really good here and deserved to win.

Match #1: Rob Van Dam w/ Katie Forbes def. Rhino – Old School Rules Match w/ Tommy Dreamer as Special Referee The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
Old School Rules means there are no disqualifications, no countouts and Tommy Dreamer is special referee to ensure there’s a winner. The brawl spills to the outside in the early going. Rhino swings and misses with a clothesline, causing him to wrap his arm around the steel ring post. Rhino puts a choke in with a mop handle.

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Paula Abdul dancing like a cat. From those d—k-heads on Shark Tank…I’m switching the joke. Also, Donald Glover did a lousy job of playing Lando Calrissian in Solo. Now, as a version of Huggy Bear on Valium, maybe, but not Lando Calrissian. Okay, let’s get to the fun.
Match #1: Tessa Blanchard and Jordynne Grace defeated Madison Rayne and Havok
My Opinion: 2.7 out of 5 – This was good, but not great. I hate always giving so many women’s matches lower scores, but that is the way the cookie crumbles right now. Maybe thing will be better in a year’s time.

Best Moment:

Match #1: Golden Magic defeated Tjp, Trey and Taurus – Fatal 4 Way Match
My Opinion: 3.1 out of 5 – This was a fun match that had enough thrilling action to make this worth the trouble to have booked at all. I’m surprised that Magic won, but that’s a good thing some-times. You can’t always just go with the safe choice. Every-body looked good here and seemed to work well together. The match is better than the review of it, trust me. Overall, this was a good way to start the card.

My Opinion: 2.5 out of 5 – This was a solid match that moved well and didn’t leave a bad taste in my mouth after it was done.
