From 2009-2011 Lilla directed Patagonia Rising which investigated the impacts of a proposal to build five large scale dams in the heart of Patagonia, Chile. Followed up in 2017 with Ballroom Confidential, an intimate feature length documentary on aging, loss and the healing powers of ballroom dancing, Lilla would go on to direct Children Of The Vine, a 2018-2021 investigation into the health impacts of Monsanto's herbicide Roundup. Children Of The Vine is slated for release in 2022. Lilla lives with his wife and two children in Napa, California and now focuses his attention on Garbage & Greed: Trashed In Napa Valley.
