Thomas Kilroy was born on September 23, 1934 in Callan, County Kilkenny, Ireland. Thomas was a writer, known for Farmers (1978). Thomas was married to Julia Carlson and Patricia Cobie. Thomas died on December 7, 2023 in Shannon, Ireland.
In 1965 he was appointed senior lecturer at UCD, lecturing on English, Anglo-Irish and 18th century drama. He was also a visiting professor in various American universities.
Obtained a degree in education from University College Dublin and went on to be a teacher and headmaster.
In the 1980s he sat on the board of the groundbreaking Field Day Theatre Company in Derry, Ireland founded by playwright Brian Friel and actor Stephen Rea.
Author of 16 plays and one novel.
Attended St Kieran's College, where he captained the senior hurling team.
