Ringo Starr married his first wife, Maureen Starkey Tigrett (originally Cox) in 1965. They were married for 10 years. Here’s the story of how they met.
Ringo was engaged to another woman before Maureen
Before Ringo got together with Maureen, he actually got engaged to a woman named Geraldine. Though, they eventually decided to break off the engagement. When Starr was with Geraldine, he became aware of Maureen Cox, who was going out with the Rory Storm (the band Ringo was in at the time) guitarist Johnny “Guitar.” But because they were both with other people at the time, Starr didn’t make a point to speak to her.
The day Ringo met Maureen
Back then, Maureen was an assistant hairdresser at a beauty salon called Ashley Du Pre’s. Ringo noticed her standing in a crowd of girls in front of the Cavern Club one day as he drove around in his new car,...

In the Andrew Llloyd Webber musical Evita, there is a plaintive number sung by a character known only as the Mistress, shortly after Eva has taken her place in Juan Peron’s affections. “I don’t expect my love affairs to last for long/Never fool myself that my dreams will come true,” the Mistress bemoans, adding, “all my words desert me/So anyone can hurt me and they do.” It’s the cri de coeur of the eternal sidepiece, the woman who constantly invests her hopes and dreams in powerful,...

The New York Post's Page Six has a new report that says Silda Spitzer is no longer going to be "the good wife."
Multiple sources tell the paper that Silda plans to divorce husband Eliot Spitzer, the former New York governor, after he finishes his race for New York City comptroller because she "has had enough."
"Silda is telling her female friends that she is done with him. She will file for divorce after the election," which takes place Nov. 5, says one source.
A second source adds, "Silda is saying she is going to wait until this is all over. She has been telling friends, 'This is too hard. This is too rough.'"
Eliot Spitzer previously resigned his gubernatorial post after a federal wiretape revealed he had been spending time with a $1000-an-hour prostitute named Ashley Dupre of the Emperors Club VIP escort service. His wife stood by him...

Eliot has reportedly been staying away from his family’s home and living at 800 Fifth Ave., a building owned by his father, Bernard Spitzer. Do you think Eliot and wife Silda are having marital problems?
Former New York governor Eliot Spitzer has allegedly been spotted at 800 Fifth Ave. for at least a month. His wife, Silda Spitzer, and their family live at 985 Fifth, less than 20 blocks away from Eliot’s most recent “home.”
Silda & Eliot Spitzer Living Apart
Eliot, 53, who’s often seen heading for his regular morning jog around Central Park, is reportedly staying in a two-bedroom apartment that usually rents for $14,000 a month.
Eliot’s spokeswoman Lisa Linden confirmed to the New York Post that he was “spending time in the building [800 Fifth],” but it’s so he can “spend more time with his ailing parents, who live there.” Eliot’s father Bernard Spitzer owns both buildings at 800 and 985 Fifth.

The prostitute made famous by her affair with former New York governor Eliot Spitzer is pregnant and engaged! Former call girl Ashley Dupre, 27, made headlines when it was reported that former New York governor Eliot Spitzer paid her $2000 for sex at a Washington D.C. hotel in February 2008. Four years later, Ashley is back in the headlines, but this time for a more positive reason -- she's expecting. Ashley confirmed to the New York Post that she is engaged to Thomas "Tj" Earle and they are expecting their first child together in two months. Tj cheated on his wife with Ashley only months after the Spizer Scandal broke. Tj is now officially divorced from his wife. Tj's lawyer Mitchel Asnell confirmed that Tj and his wife, Alisa, have been divorced for over a year and are on good terms. "They divorced amicably. She has moved on, and he has moved on.

If a celebrity had a sex scandal involving a prostitute it is not uncommon to hear the name Jason Itzler mentioned a few times.
You might remember Itzler, who has the words "King Pimp" tattooed on his arm, from a memorable interview with Anderson Cooper where he claimed that Ashley Dupre, the escort who brought down then-Governor Eliot Spitzer, used to work for him. Itzler also managed to get involved in Tiger Wood's scandal again claiming that Wood had slept with women that he employed as prostitutes.
On Tuesday, 44-year-old Itzler appeared before the State Supreme Court in Manhattan, facing charges of promoting prostitution and selling cocaine. He told the Court he had been set up as part of a conspiracy to protect musician and actor Billy Ray Cyrus, who he alleges is "best friends with Mayor Bloomberg," reports The New York Times.

The restaurant profiled in "Famous Food," Lemon Basket, was recently shut down for a few days after it was cited for "cockroach infestation and harborage" by the Los Angeles Department of Health Services. The Sunset Blvd. restaurant reopened Saturday night after the health violations were remedied.
For those unfamiliar, "Famous Food" is a VH1 reality show that profiles "celebrities" like Heidi Montag, Jake Pavelka, Danielle Staub and Ashley Dupre as they work together to open a restaurant in just 28 days with a budget of $150,000. Let's hope the team doesn't run afoul of any more health codes.

Former New York Post columnist Ashley Dupre may be sharp on paper, but when it comes to a war of words, Danielle Staub doesn't go down without a fight.
On last night's 'Famous Food' (Wed., 8Pm Et on VH1), Staub took issue with the rest of the team's decision to alter her menu, and Dupre wisely decided it was better to let the former Real Housewife vent than to try shouting back.

The July 17 episode of VH1′s ‘Famous Food’ had more catfights than ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ seasons combined — and here’s Danielle’s exclusive take and what you didn’t see!
Vinnie Pastore asking for more money to clean a kitchen (as I predicted he would) is out of line. We don’t need to be cleaning a kitchen and an entire restaurant that is soon to be under construction. And I love how no one is protecting “our” budget, except for me. Allowing Vinnie to spend money out of our budget to make himself feel useful makes absolutely no sense. I am not trying to be mean, but you don’t clean up a mess on a construction site before construction is completed. Vinnie said anything over $300 would come out of his own pocket, so why is he now asking for another $300 (making it $900 total that he...

Danielle left ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ in hopes of a drama-free existence — but there’s one Italian who’s out to get her!
Danielle Staub just can’t catch a break! HollywoodLife.com tuned into episode two of VH1′s Famous Food on July 17 and there was more profanity thrown around than all episodes of The Real Housewives of New Jersey combined!
Danielle and Sopranos star Vinnie Pastore better known as “Big Pussy” are trying to open a restaurant but they can’t agree on anything. Whether it’s the design, menu or simple things to order — they fight! Claws out, slurs thrown — it’s intense. Danielle isn’t used to the abuse, nor should she be, so it always ends in tears.
Vinnie begins to call Danielle a “b*tch” and tells her she’s “good for nothing” when they begin to argue over $300. Danielle storms out...

Danielle Staub may have left those 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' feuds behind her, but 'Famous Food' (Sun., 10Pm on VH1) is a whole new playground for clashing.
During the first episode, Staub clashed with 'Sopranos' star Vincent Pastore, so why should episode two be any different?
After getting into an argument with Eliot Spitzer's former call girl Ashley Dupre about hot dogs and hamburgers -- Dupre called Staub mental, which set off that famous temper -- Pastore started shouting at Staub over her questions about the kitchen. This sent Staub packing, and she headed for the street to make a teary phone call.

On July 10, VH1 debuted its surreal and bizarre reality competition, "Famous Food." Part "Top Chef," part "Celebrity Rehab," the show follows an apparently defeatist duo of restaurateurs looking for a celebrity backer for their latest venture.
And they'll have to choose from one of the most ragtag casts in recent memory -- including Eliot Spitzer call girl Ashley Dupre, "Bachelor" Jake Pavelka, "Sopranos" vet Vincent Pastore, world's most unlikely Oscar winners Three 6 Mafia and universally loathed reality stars Heidi Montag and Danielle Staub.
Naturally, the latter two instantly gravitated towards each other. In the premiere episode, Heidi and Danielle go out for a wine-and-scheming session, which included revelations both surprising (Heidi: "Oh my gosh, they have crepes! That's like my favorite thing in the world.") and completely expected (Danielle: "I worked in champagne rooms.")

The new VH1 show features "celebrities" starting a restaurant from the ground up. They have to conceptualize the eatery, hire and train a staff, stay on budget, pick out uniforms ... basically, they're really working.
The celebs behind it all? Danielle Staub, Heidi Montag, Jake Pavelka, Ashley Dupre, DJ Paul and Juicy J from the Three 6 Mafia and 'Sopranos' actor Vincent Pastore.
The cast members are competing for a partnership stake in the restaurant with the Dolce Group.

We've been chronicling the creation of VH1's 'Famous Food' as any self-respecting rubber-necker might do, and the latest tidbit from the trainwreck-in-the-making, an official cast photo, won't disappoint.
In what many (we) are calling a reality show apocalypse, Danielle Staub, Heidi Montag, Jake Pavelka are teaming to open a restaurant. The cast also includes Ashley Dupre (call girl to New York's former governor Eliot Spitzer, but VH1 lists her as a "singer"), Oscar-winners DJ Paul and Juicy J from the Three 6 Mafia and 'Sopranos' veteran Vincent Pastore.
The cast will have to complete tasks to get the restaurant (titled Famous Food) off the ground. Restauranteurs Mike Malin and Lonnie Moore of the Dolce Group will award one lucky "celeb" with a partnership stake in the new restaurant.
The show premieres Sun., July 10 at 10Pm and you bet your bottom we'll be watching this gem.

MTV bosses were reported to be in talks with Ashley Dupre to film her search for true love.
A source told E! News, "They're talking to MTV about Ashley being the next Tila Tequila," referring to the network's hit television show A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila.
But, although Dupre's attorney, Richard Wolfe, reveals his client "has prospects for many exciting new projects and is looking forward to starting a new chapter," a spokesperson for the 23-year-old insists "she has no TV deal".
MTV bosses have also denied the claims, adding: "It's not true. No meetings were held."
Married Spitzer was forced to resign earlier this year after it was discovered he had paid for sex with Dupre.

Call-girl Ashley Dupre has withdrawn her $10 million (GBP5 million) lawsuit against Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis.
Dupre, who was the woman at the centre of the New York Governor Eliot Spitzer prostitution scandal earlier this year, filed the suit against Francis in April.
In it, she accused him of exploiting her name and image for profit.
Dupre alleged that Girls Gone Wild representatives approached her while she was on holiday in Florida in 2003, plied her with alcohol and encouraged her to expose her breasts on camera when she was just 17.
However, Dupre dropped the suit against Francis and his film company on Thursday, insisting she wants to move on with her life.
Her lawyer Richard C. Wolfe says, "Ms. Dupre wants to eliminate all negativity from her life and focus on the positive.
"She has prospects for many exciting new projects and is looking forward to starting a new chapter."
After hearing the news of the suit in April, Francis offered Dupre $1 million (GBP500,000) to settle out-of-court, despite claiming she had "zero" chance of winning - and even offered the aspiring singer a job.

Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis has offered call-girl Ashley Dupre $1 million (GBP500,000) to drop a lawsuit against him - and wants her to take up a job with his company.
Ashley Dupre is seeking more than $10 million (GBP5 million) in damages in a lawsuit filed on Monday.
Dupre alleges that Girls Gone Wild representatives approached her while she was vacationing in Florida in 2003 and offered her alcohol before encouraging her to expose her breasts for their cameras when she was just 17.
The suit claims Girls Gone Wild has illegally exploited Dupre's name, picture, voice and likeness in a number of deceptive ad campaigns and on websites.
On Tuesday, Francis offered her $1 million to drop the case because he thinks she has "zero" chance of winning the suit - and has even offered the aspiring songstress the opportunity to work with him hosting Girls Gone Wild events.
He tells The New York Daily News, "It is incomprehensible that Ms. Dupre could claim she did not give her consent to be filmed by Girls Gone Wild, when ... we have videotape of her giving consent."...
