For those fortunate enough to see The Monster Squad as a kid, the feeling of battling monsters was mutual among friends. The supernatural intrigued us because one moment, it was thrilling to be strong and able to kill these beasts. But then in a blink of an eye, the monsters could have the upper hand and corner you into being a helpless victim. The basic lesson learned though was simple: Kill or be killed.
