How could you not want to know more about a film festival where the acronym of it is Biff?!
We’ve just been sent the full line-up of movies that will be played at the third annual British Independent Film Festival which this year takes place 11th and 12th May. The festival is a great place to showcase new British talent and this year, the organisers (The Film Festival Guild) have arranged a fabulous line-up which includes three world premieres, which include Airborne (starring Mark Hamill), Jump which stars Glen Blackhall and Bashment which stars Ludvig Bonin.
We actually got to attend a couple of set visits for Airborne, both of which you can see here and here.
The event is set to take place around the UK with the fill location list below. Check it out and if you need more info, visit the official Festival website at www.

The trick to engaging a worldwide audience for "Titanic," ABC's miniseries premiering Saturday, April 14, and concluding the next night on the 100th anniversary of the ship's sinking, is to go beyond the tragedy's basics.
Everyone knows how a series of worst-case scenarios led to the sinking of what was supposedly the best and most luxurious ocean liner ever. The goal is to tell this story in a new way.
And "Titanic" succeeds terrifically. This isn't trying to be James Cameron's "Titanic," the 1997 phenomenon that captured 11 Oscars. There have been so many films and documentaries, but this one stands apart.
Granted, the facts must stay the same, but what this production does is blend actual and fictional characters and show the disaster from different vantage points. It's a masterful reimagining by writer Julian Fellowes (Academy Award for "Gosford Park," Emmy for "Downton Abbey").

In an age of class divides, the sinking of the Titanic was an event that impacted the ultra wealthy and the poorest of the poor. Both sets of people are well represented in this dramatization. At one end of the spectrum are aristocrats such as the Earl of Manton who is played by Linus Roache (Batman Begins). His relationship with his rebellious suffragette daughter Georgina (Perdita Weeks) is one of the themes the writers explore in the early episodes although Manton proves to be a heroic figure when the boat starts to sink.
Below deck, Glen Blackhall (Ten Winters) plays a poor Italian immigrant named Paolo Sandrini who falls in love with one of the second class section crew members who is played by Jenna-Louise Coleman. The nouveau...
