His happiness was well-justified as his lawyers managed to secure possession of a load of horse semen. News learned that the 88-year-old actor filed for divorce from his wife, Elizabeth Shatner, after nearly 18 years of marriage. According to his divorce docs, which were obtained by E! William Shatner will be the guest of honor at a private charity party in Studio City next week to help relieve the pain and suffering of earthquake victims in Haiti and Chile.
The invitation-only event will see the former Star Trek star auction artworks from his wife, Elizabeth Shatner, and Italian-born artist Giorgio Tuscani. Money raised will go to severely injured and disabled survivors of the two earthquakes, and will provide shelters, food, water and medical care.
The event will take place at Tuscani’s antique-filled Italianate mansion, House of Angels, on Saturday, April 17. Tuscani has also generously put the mansion under the hammer for earthquake victims.

The avid equestrian will be leading his horse to raise money for the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Showcasing in the 4R Performance Horses Celebrity Slide, Shatner will guide his horse in precise maneuvering and reining exercises. Other celebrity riders include: Grammy winner Lyle Lovett, fine jewelry company owner David Yurman, Tlc’s Trading Spaces star Christi Proctor and Tulsa Morning Anchor Kristin Dickerson.
