We just checked in with the cats behind the Black Devil Doll TV show, "There Goes Da Neighba'hood," and it turns out that while we weren't paying attention they dropped several big announcements and a new poster!
First let's play a little catch up... Mars Homeworld has signed on to do the music for the show, including the theme song which is riotously hilarious, and we hope to bring you that soon. Also, joining the previously announced cast which included Trent Haaga and Heidi Honeycutt, The Howard Stern Show's Richard Christy (Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay) has joined the cast.
All of the above begs the question... what has the Black Devil Doll himself been up to? The video below explains it, and you can check that out along with a new mock one-sheet!

Black Devil Doll is offensive, dirty, disturbed, naughty, low brow, filthy, and rumored to cause explosive diarrhea. That makes it the perfect choice for an evening of wholesome family entertainment. Read on for details.
We are very selective when it comes to which projects we cover that are in the midst of crowd-funding, but sometimes a premise comes along that's just too friggin' bizarre for us to resist! Joe Knetter is not only a writer in the indie horror genre but he's a published author, a stunt bot and does a little acting on the side. He has several projects in the works including one werewolf film we've been following for quite some time. Knetter is also one funny guy and you'll find out as you check out my latest "Versus". Consider this an early Christmas present peeps, read on!
Brian S- First off Joe, how'd you get into writing, specifically for the indie horror genre.
Joe Knetter- It was on a cocaine binge deep in jungle's of Brazil. I was covered in honey and waging war against this tribe of fairies called the Dundleberts. Those crazy little bastard loved nothing more than to pull out your pubic hairs while you slept and sprinkle them on your upper lip. Just thinking of them now makes me want...

Last year the cult hit "Black Devil Doll" took the horror world by storm due to brothers Shawn Lewis and Jonathan Lewis. Their next film looks to take things up another notch with the crazy sounding flick, "Bottomfeeder"...
Below is a description of the film from our friends at Horror Squad,
Featuring a script by Masters of Horror writer Stephen Romano and a leading performance from Joe Pilato -- better known as Capt. Rhodes from Romero's "Day of the Dead" -- the project looks to be off to an auspicious start.
Pilato will play Detective Joe Angell, a bad cop who thought he'd seen everything until he catches a case involving a mutated man/fish who's wandered out of the toxic sludge in a California river and is on the prowl for nubile young women (I love this already...). That's just one of the detective's problems though, as Angell --...

It's amazing how many people's feathers got ruffled over Jonathan Lewis' cinematic homage to all things tasteless, Black Devil Doll (review here). With the release of the brand spanking new Black Devil Doll Soundboard, we're willing to bet there's gonna be a lot more upset folks out there soon enough!
"The Black Devil Doll Soundboard is Live!" says producer Shawn Lewis. "We encourage our fans to use the board for Prank Calls! Have fun with it and email us your calls. If they are recorded in good quality and they are funny, we will post them on official sites, and we will also use them on future DVD and Blu-ray releases of Black Devil Doll."
If only we had the time. Still ... we'll be listening. A word of advice? Don't answer your phone and keep your eye on YouTube! Dig on the soundboard by clicking the image below.

If, like me, you’ve been following the unstoppable buzz surrounding director Jonathan Lewis’ goofy 2007 retro exploitation extravaganza “Black Devil Doll” for quite some time, you’re probably wondering when, precisely, the film is scheduled to debut on DVD. The wait, I’m happy to report, is officially over: “Black Devil Doll,” the film that should, according to its own hype, offend just about everyone, will have its way with your fragile psyche on October 27th, which is just in time for Halloween. How cool is that? I’m certainly excited, though my expectations have been properly restrained until my own eyes have seen the glory for themselves. The premise might sound intriguing, but the execution could be sorely lacking. You know how it is. In case you were wondering, the synopsis: Five beautiful young women, one evil, murderous puppet. Heather thought that a Ouija board was nothing but an innocent child’s game.

First, a few street date updates: Shout! Factory’s DVD of Audition, which we broke the news on here, will arrive October 6. Monarch Video will release Farmhouse (see our review here) September 29; look for a making-of featurette and possibly other special features on that one. And First Look will issue Kyle Rankin’s big-bug opus Infestation on October 13, following its Syfy cable debut (see previous item here).
Lowest Common Denominator Entertainment has set an October 27 street date for its long-awaited special-edition disc of Black Devil Doll, and gave Fango the scoop on the complete details. The saga of an executed black militant’s spirit entering a ventriloquist’s dummy and wreaking all sorts of outrageous, politically incorrect havoc will be presented in widescreen with Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, plus an insane amount of special features:

Having just concluded their first annual Deep Red International Festival of Fantastic Film in Portland, Or, organizers Shade Rupe and Chris Bavota are now gearing up to repeat the chilling experience in Seattle. Writer/producer Shawn Smith sent along the news that his perverted-puppet shocker Black Devil Doll will have its West Coast premiere Friday, April 17 at midnight at La’s New Beverly Cinema (7165 West Beverly Boulevard). And if you attend, you might be part of the DVD!
“We will be filming at this screening for a DVD extra, so be there!” Smith says; the disc is currently scheduled for release later this spring or summer. He goes on to note that the showing is the same weekend as our West Coast Weekend of Horrors, and just a short cab ride away from the La Convention Center, where our shindig will take place.
Directed by Jonathan Lewis from a script by Shawn and Mitch Mayes, Black Devil Doll is the saga of a ventriloquist’s dummy that becomes possessed by the spirit of an executed African-American militant and becomes a bloodthirsty, bad-ass murdering mofo.
