Actress Morena Baccarin has addressed the likelihood of a Deadpool 3 return for her character Vanessa, the great love of Ryan Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth.
Her comments came during a recent interview on the podcast Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum, in which the host asked her, “What’s up with Deadpool 3? Fans want to know. Anything…any scoop?”
“Yeah, what is up with Deadpool 3? That’s a really good question,” said Baccarin. “I have to be very diplomatic about what I say here. I’d like to be in it. They have called me about being in it. Right now, we have not agreed on terms, and everybody’s trying their best, and doing their best. But it may or may not work out. I don’t know.”

Deadpool 3 is shaping up on getting the band back together. Not only is there the exciting news of Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine, but Wade Wilson’s support system, Dopinder and Blind Al, are back to aid our hero as well. In the last outing, Deadpool 2, we saw Wade time-travel through different periods in the film to save the lives of those who had been killed off. One of those characters was notably Wade’s girlfriend, Vanessa. For such a grand gesture, it should be inevitable that actress Morena Baccarin is returning to the third, but according to Cbr, Baccarin is only in talks to return with a pending deal.
Baccarin recently appeared on Smallville actor Michael Rosenbaum’s podcast, Inside of You. Rosenbaum asked what kind of plans were being made for her return to Deadpool 3, and Baccarin would reply, “I have to be very...

Even though we were right in the heart of Beverly Hills for last night’s American Cinematheque Awards tribute to Ryan Reynolds, you would be forgiven if you thought somehow you had been transported from the Beverly Hilton International Ballroom to Canada. Judging from these proceedings, Reynolds just may be the hottest import ever to come across the border.
Numerous presenters and participants, notably Reynolds’ very pregnant wife Blake Lively (they have three daughters with another child on the way) made mention of the fact that the star of Deadpool, Free Guy, and other hits has never ventured far from where he really considers “home” and that is his native Canada, and she added he is the first Canadian recipient of the award in its 36 years of existence. I can’t remember the last time I sat at a Hollywood tribute like this one and felt compelled to stand and...

“Anyone who knows me knows how much I love an evening devoted entirely to me,” Ryan Reynolds joked when receiving his American Cinematheque Award in Los Angeles on Thursday night, and love it or not that’s exactly what he got. The actor was the 36th recipient of the prestigious honor and was celebrated with an evening highlighting his success across acting, producing and his many entrepreneurial ventures, by a roster of friends and colleagues including Will Ferrell, Hugh Jackman, Octavia Spencer, Helen Mirren, Salma Hayek, Shawn Levy and wife Blake Lively.
While the program showcased the many facets of Reynolds’ career via segments titled “The Comedian,” “The Sexy Man,” “The Serious Man” and “The Smart Ass” — and even featured a ballroom-wide singing of the Canadian national anthem (as Reynolds is the first Canadian to win the award) — Lively’s speech toward the...

"Chainsaw Man" is well on its way to becoming one of the most popular series in the Fall 2022 anime season. Studio Mappa (the studio behind "Attack on Titan" and "Jujutsu Kaisen") has crafted a gory and violent Shonen anime. Part horror and part comedy, "Chainsaw Man" remains wholly unique in the anime landscape. A big part of what makes the series so special is its main character, Denji. A devil hunter who was given the powers of the Chainsaw Devil, Denji can sprout chainsaws from his arms and face (painfully animated to perfection by Mappa) whenever necessary. Just as critical as the kinetic animation is the voice talent that brings the cast of "Chainsaw Man" to life.
Ryan Colt Levy, who voices Denji in the English dub of "Chainsaw Man," is just as exuberant and passionate as the character he plays. Reagan Murdock is as calm and collected as Aki,...

Horizon Media has teamed with former Turner president David Levy and Chris Weil, former head of Momentum Worldwide, to launch Horizon Sports & Experiences.
The new agency will look to tap opportunities in the evolving Web3 and the metaverse platforms for new sports and event experience marketing as broadcasters, streaming platforms and brands increasingly go online to chase sport fans and audiences.

Longtime media executives David Levy and Chris Weil are launching a marketing agency alongside Horizon Media, one aimed at capitalizing on the shift they see already underway for sports advertising.
Horizon Sports & Experiences (Hs&e) plans to focus on marketing beyond TV commercials and in-stadium signage, which Levy called “table stakes.” Instead, it will look to create opportunities around new events, IP creation and experiential marketing — both in the physical world and in the metaverse.
Levy, former president of Turner Broadcasting, and Weil, chairman of Momentum Worldwide, will serve as co-CEOs and equity partners, alongside Horizon Media.
“It’s not going to be your standard 30-second TV spots,” Levy told Sportico in an interview. “And the timing could not be better. Private equity firms are investing heavily into sports franchises, new leagues are forming and Nil rights are here. This space is growing so fast, and they’re going to need companies like ourselves.

Meet the 10 top chefs who changed Dan Levy’s life.
The star created and hosts the new show “The Big Brunch” which features 10 chefs competing for a prize of 300,000 with their best brunch dishes.
It marks the entry for the “Schitt’s Creek” star into the unscripted realm of reality television, a decision that initially made Levy nervous.
“Breaking into the unscripted space felt like a strange detour from what I had been doing with ‘Schitt’s Creek’ and everything that came after,” he told People in an interview. “There was this point where I questioned, ‘Well is this the right decision? Am I doing the right thing?’ Because this silly industry has a way of making you question your instincts.”

HBO Max dropped the trailer for “The Big Brunch,” the new cooking competition series from creator Dan Levy, who also serves as host and judge. The series, which airs its first three episodes on Nov. 10, highlights 10 undiscovered community-oriented chefs from all over the country competing for a 300,000 cash prize.
Chef Sohla El-Waylly and restaurateur Will Guidara host alongside the “Schitt’s Creek” Emmy winner.
Unlike more cutthroat cooking competition series, “The Big Brunch” is all about celebrating the connection fostered by food and the sharing of each chef’s personal journey. At the top of the trailer, one of the chefs says, “As a chef, you wear three hats: you’re a mentor, you’re a coach and then you’re a chef.”
Levy then introduces the concept of the show: Brunch as “the ultimate connector, the perfect convergence of food, comfort and friendship.” The contestants who exemplify this concept are...

OpenAP was built by traditional TV companies hoping to get their collective hands around new ad-tech that is generating millions of advertising dollars Now they are reaching outside of their circle.
The advertising consortium, owned by NBCUniversal, Fox Corp., Paramount Global and Warner Bros. Discovery, has enlisted an investment from Snowflake Ventures, a company that specializes in cloud-based data and analytics. Snowflake will be the first company from outside the traditional TV business to have ownership in Open AP.
“This investment from Snowflake is really a testament to the publishers saying, ‘We know this is where the industry is going,'” says David Levy, CEO of Open AP, in an interview.
Since launching in 2017 under the auspices of the former WarnerMedia’s Turner, the former Viacom Inc. and the Fox Networks Group of the former 21st Century Fox, Open AP has tried to facilitate the increasingly common practice of “audience buying” among advertisers.

Eva Longoria and George Lopez are on board to star in Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, a new, Latino-centric adaptation of the best-selling children’s book by Judith Viorst.
Marvin Lemus, the co-creator and showrunner of Gentefied, a bilingual series that ran for two seasons on Netflix, will direct the feature, which is intended for Disney+ and being produced by Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps and The Jim Henson Company.

Netflix has acquired the rights to an upcoming book called “Dark Wire” about a true story of FBI surveillance, and the streamer has tapped “Ozark” star Jason Bateman to direct and produce a film based on the book.
Bateman will team with “Stranger Things” producer Shawn Levy and his 21 Laps banner on an adaptation of the film, while Matthew Orton (“Operation Finale”) will write the screenplay.
The book “Dark Wire” comes from journalist Joseph Cox, who has written for Wired and Vice Motherboard, among others. Cox announced the project on his personal Twitter last month and explained it examines “one of the craziest law enforcement stings ever,” in which the FBI launched their own phone company in order to track underground crime organizations.

Stranger Things season 4 was no stranger to the spotlight, receiving much acclaim and accolades, on top of already having been renewed for a fifth, final season.
However, the end of Stranger Things may not really be so near. Nearly a year ago, Netflix CEO and COO Ted Sarandos first hinted at a forthcoming Stranger Things franchise, referring to the series as “a franchise being born” and teasing spinoffs, according to Deadline.
Then in February of this year, upon the announcement of the final season, Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers further teased series spinoffs, saying, “There are still many more exciting stories to tell within the world of Stranger Things: new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes,” according to Deadline.
And most recently, Stranger Things producer Shawn Levy shared in an interview with Variety that a “Stranger Things Cinematic Universe” is currently in development.

Hugh Jackman is set to return as Wolverine for a final time in “Deadpool 3” opposite Ryan Reynolds, the actor announced in a skit on instagram.
“Hey everyone, we’re extremely sad to have missed D23, but we’ve been working very hard on the next ‘Deadpool’ film for a good long while now,” Reynolds says in the video. “I’ve had to really search my soul on this one. His first appearance in the MCU obviously needs to feel special. We need to stay true to the character, find new depth, motivation, meaning every Deadpool needs to stand out and stand apart. It’s been an incredible challenge that has forced me to reach down deep inside.”
“Hey, Hugh, you want to play Wolverine one more time?” Reynolds asks. “Yeah, for sure,” Jackman replies.

In a sequel announcement no one saw coming, Keanu Reeves is set to return as Constantine.
“Picture it: the year 2005. You roll up to your local AMC, rocking a trucker hat and skinny jeans. You buy a ticket for Constantine starring Keanu Reeves. Gwen Stefani’s ‘Hollaback Girl’ plays in the lobby as you get your Coke and popcorn. You leave the theater 2 hours later and never think of Constantine again. Until now, 17 years later, when Warner Bros. announces that Keanu Reeves will return for a Constantine sequel.”

Wizards have always been a crucial element of The Lord of the Rings world, but what exactly is happening with these mystical beings?
“In a world full of fantastical mysteries, there are few things more mysterious in Middle-earth than the Istari: the powerful sorcerers who helped, in ways big and small, shape the very fate of the world.

There was every reason to expect "Club Paradise" would be the comedy smash of Summer 1986. Harold Ramis was two-for-two as a director thanks to "Caddyshack" and "National Lampon's Vacation," and scorching hot off the blockbuster success of "Ghostbusters." Ramis had reunited with his "National Lampoon's Animal House" collaborator Chris Miller to hammer out the story, and hooked up once again with his "Caddyshack" co-writer Brian Doyle-Murray for the screenplay. And then there was the cast: Robin Williams, Peter O'Toole, Rick Moranis, Eugene Levy, Andrea Martin, Joe Flaherty, Robin Duke, and Mary Gross. How could a film stuffed with this much comedic talent possibly miss?
Aside from Ramis and Levy playing a couple of hapless, horn-dog tourists who inadvertently score a trash bag full of marijuana, just about nothing works in "Club Paradise." The notion of a retired Chicago firefighter (Williams) starting up a ramshackle Caribbean resort with his disability money sounds promising,...

Fans of Eddie may want to prepare themselves. As Stranger Things season 4 hit Netflix this summer, one of the most popular characters introduced this season was Eddie Munson, played by Justin Quinn. Eddie was an eccentric leader of The Hellfire Club, a Dungeons & Dragons group, and had been the subject of blame for the death of Vecna’s first victim. The character was given a memorable Metallica scene in the season finale, which gutted viewers when he had sacrificed himself for Dustin, played by Gaten Matarazzo.
The character’s fans would brainstorm many theories about Eddie’s possible return. A few popular ones would be that he could be turned into Vecna’s right-hand man or that he was a figment of Dustin’s imagination. According to ScreenRant, producer Shawn Levy says it’s all for naught as it is unlikely they will bring the fan-favorite back.
Levy responds,
“[Laughs] Oh boy,...

Stranger Things season 5 is announced to be coming to Netflix, but the world is too big to be contained in just one series. This past July, it was announced that there will be a stage play set within the universe of Stranger Things and, additionally, there will be a spin-off coming to Netflix. The spin-off is said to be based on an original idea by The Duffer Brothers. Details are kept secret as series regular Finn Wolfhard seems to be the only other person who knows about it.
The spin-off is not touted as a traditional Stranger Things sequel though. Plus, Cbr reports that Shawn Levy, executive producer and director of the show, has been working with Kevin Feige on Deadpool 3 and is picking up an understanding about running a cinematic universe. This has inspired Levy to create his own Stcu. Levy tells Variety, “Yes, we are building out the Stcu,...

Crossovers are nothing new in the world of comic book media. Heck, "The Avengers," arguably the biggest franchise in the world, is the result of a big crossover in the comics dating back to the '60s. But when other totally disparate franchises crossover with one another? That remains somewhat rare for a variety of reasons. But it sounds like a rather ambitious and unexpected one is, at the very least, being discussed earnestly. So the question is, would you like to see a "Deadpool" meet the kids from "Stranger Things?"
Director and producer of "Stranger Things" Shawn Levy recently spoke with Variety on the red carpet for the Emmys. As it just so happens, Levy has collaborated with "Deadpool" star Ryan Reynolds several times with "Free Guy" and "The Adam Project," and he will direct "Deadpool 3." It turns out, that got the two to talking about this seemingly unlikely crossover.

Hawkins, Indiana might soon be invaded by the Merc With A Mouth.
On the Emmys red carpet on Sept. 12, Variety‘s Marc Malkin spoke with “Stranger Things” executive producer and director Shawn Levy about developing the incoming “Stranger Things” Cinematic Universe.
“Yes, we are building out the Stcu, and now that I’m spending time with [chief creative officer of Marvel Entertainment] Kevin Feige, I’m learning a lot about how to manage a universe,” he said. “So I’m taking those skills and applying them to the Stcu.”
Beyond “Stranger Things,” Levy is set to direct the upcoming third Deadpool film. When asked if there could be a crossover between the two properties, Levy had a surprising answer.
“Funnily enough, [“Deadpool” star] Ryan [Reynolds] and I were trying to figure out how in the world could we do a ‘Deadpool’-‘Stranger Things’ crossover,” he said. “We haven’t cracked it yet, but it’s on the table.

NBC has new teams leading both “Sunday Night Football” and “Football Night in America.” And it will serve up new logos for both shows as well.
For 16 years, viewers of both football broadcasts have seen their titles arranged in a “shield” design. This season, the programs are getting a new look, with title logos that can be displayed more readily no matter the venue on which each program is being watched.
“It’s not a one-size-fits-all design direction. It’s far more nimble and less limiting than what a metallic shield was able to offer,” says Mark Levy, the NBC Sports senior vice president of original productions and creative who oversees the design of the division’s programming. “It just offers a flexibility that allos designers and animators a level of creativity” they didn’t have in the past.
