The Boys Season Four: Billy Butcher Gets The Band Back Together In Bloody Beautiful Official Trailer
Last night during their Ccxp presentation, Prime Video launched the first official trailer for The Boys season four and it's every bit as batshit crazy as we've come to expect from Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and his gang of lovable misfits.
Picking up a short while after the events of season three, which aired in 2022, the trailer quickly reacquaints us to the world of The Boys, with Billy doing his best to make amends with his former team. With the squad not exactly keen on bringing him back into the fold, he seemingly reveals his terminal diagnosis and then it seems like it'll be all hands on deck as our favorite band of heroes team up to take down Homelander (Antony Starr) once and for all.
In addition to Urban and Starr, the returning main cast includes Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone,...

Johnny Depp is undoubtedly one of the biggest actors in the world right now, who made a name for himself in iconic films such as Edward Scissorhands, Donnie Brasco, and of course – Pirates of The Caribbean. With that said, the new Pirates of the Caribbean report without Johnny Depp has only proven one of Hollywood’s problematic trends which are prevalent now.
Johnny Depp in Edward Scissorhands
Johnny Depp’s role as the ever-loveable yet whimsical Captain Jack Sparrow catapulted him to a level of success not seen before his time. This is especially true considering the fact that before him, pirate movies never really received any widespread acclaim.

Every DC fan was somewhat skeptical of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Most gamers out there had some idea that maybe WB had made some mistake modeling this new game as a live service title. Its initial previews were also not very good to begin with, and as a result, it has been unsuccessful.
The game is getting either mixed or negative reviews from every fan. Not many gamers are willing to give it a second chance, either. The response to this game’s shortcomings has also been equally brutal from the hardcore fans of WB games.

Prime Video’s first teaser trailer for The Boys season four shows a world on the verge of war. “All democracies fail because people are f****** stupid,” says a voice-over, adding, “But if you crush the masses, who builds your monuments?”
The solution is to allow people to tear the world apart themselves, and then the supes can swoop in and save it.
The trailer teases some wild action scenes (as expected from this twisted series) and ends with the introduction of Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s character.
Season four, premiering in 2024, stars Antony Starr as Homelander, Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, and Jack Quaid as Hughie. Erin Moriarty is Starlight, Chace Crawford is The Deep, Jessie T. With season four on the way and college-set spinoff “Gen V” recently wrapped, the ultra-violent world of “The Boys“ is about to become even bigger yet. Deadline reports today that new spinoff series “The Boys: Mexico” is in the works.
The latest offshoot will hail from Blue Beetle scribe Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer, with Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal set to executive produce.
No plot details have been announced as of yet, and Luna and Bernal are considering appearing in “The Boys: Mexico” in smaller roles. In other words, don’t expect them to star in the series. What is confirmed is that “The Boys: Mexico” will film in Mexico.
Considering the cameos and tie-ins to “The Boys” featured in offshoot “Gen V,” it feels safe to assume that “The Boys: Mexico” will also feature references and characters to its parent series.

Happy early Halloween! The R-rated misadventures of Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and his ragtag group up meta-human hunters are coming home to crash on your couch this October. The explosive third season of "The Boys" has set a home media release, with plans to arrive on Blu-ray and DVD on October 24. Continuing their ongoing battle with Homelander -- the leader of The Seven -- and the evil corporate minions of Vought International, the third season of "The Boys" hit the ground running. The series went to new heights in season 3 with some of the most shocking episodes ever shown on television. Who can forget the "Herogasm" episode? I certainly can't.
The third season of "The Boys" may be its best yet, largely due to the incredible chemistry of the entire cast, as evidenced by a peek at the behind-the-scenes gag reel (watch below) that will also be featured on the new physical release.

Throughout the 1930s, Hollywood studios made multiple acclaimed films about American and British colonists trekking into the wilds of faraway countries in order to hunt the land's game, steal the country's resources, and abuse the locals for their own gain. Films like W.S. Van Dyke's 1931 film "Trader Horn" and Henry Hathaway's 1935 opus "The Lives of a Bengal Lancer" were even nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards. The prevailing attitude in Hollywood appeared to be that distant "exotic" countries were there to be conquered. Even "King Kong" was about attempted mastery over the wild world.
By 1954, however, attitudes had changed, as reflected in Jack Arnold's excellent monster movie "Creature from the Black Lagoon." By then, the jungles of the Amazon had become a forbidding place, a place that was beyond mastery. When trekking deep up the river to the titular Black Lagoon, a team of explorers...

Vought International has two new hires to boast about: Supes Firecracker and Sister Sage made their epic debut Monday in two first-look photos from “The Boys” Season 4 revealed by Amazon’s Prime Video.
In the photos, which you can view at the bottom of this post, you’ll see Susan Heyward suit up as Sister Sage and Valorie Curry rocking her Firecracker costume.
Both of the supersuits were designed by Laura Jean Shannon, “The Boys” costume designer who styled Jensen Ackles’ fan-favorite Soldier Boy look for Season 3.
Fans will want to pick the details of these costumes apart as much as possible, because Amazon says that everything else about the Firecracker and Sister Sage characters “will be kept under wraps until the season airs.” While we don’t know when that will be just yet, we do know “The Boys” Season 4 is currently in production in Toronto — so stay tuned.

One week after exploding genitalia in its Season 3 premiere and increasing viewership by 17 from Season 2’s debut, “The Boys” has been renewed for a fourth season at Amazon.
While “The Boys” star Karl Urban previously spilled the fourth-season beans when he said at Variety‘s SXSW Studio on March 12 that he was “shooting ‘The Boys’ through the end of the year,” well after production had already wrapped on Season 3, Friday’s renewal marks the official Season 4 pickup from Amazon.
Of course, giving “The Boys” a fourth season was always a no-brainer for Amazon, as the Eric Kripke-created show is at the center of the streamer’s first multi-series franchise, which now includes animated anthology spinoff “The Boys Presents: Diabolical” and the currently in-production untitled spinoff, which is set at America’s only college exclusively for young-adult superheroes.

The Boys will continue to cause mayhem at Prime Video.
The Amazon-owned streaming platform has renewed The Boys for a fourth season. The pickup comes just a week after the show’s third season premiered on June 3. It will continue with weekly episodes through July 8.
“From our first conversation with [showrunner] Eric Kripke and the creative team about season three of The Boys, we knew the show was continuing to get even bolder — an impressive feat considering the wild success of the Emmy-nominated second season,” said Vernon Sanders, head of global television at Amazon Studios. “The Boys continues to push boundaries in storytelling while also being relentlessly entertaining and threading the needle on social satire that feels all too real. After a two year wait, “The Boys” is amping up for a bloody return. Amazon Prime Video has released the first full trailer for the popular satirical superhero series’ upcoming season.
Based on the Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson comic book of the same name, “The Boys” focuses on a world where superheroes are employees for the powerful Vought International corporation, which monetizes their exploits and uses its power to hide the fact that the majority of them are corrupt. The series follows the titular Boys, a group of vigilantes led by the gruff Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) seeking to take down Vought, and the premier superhero team the Seven, lead by the sadistic Homelander (Antony Starr).
Season 3 of “The Boys” sees the Seven recovering from a PR crisis after their member Stormfront (Aya Cash) is exposed as a neo-Nazi and white supremacist. Meanwhile, Billy receives a weapon against Vought...

The first trailer for Prime Video’s “The Boys” Season 3 has finally arrived, and in it, Homelander (Antony Starr) seems more unhinged than normal.
As the trailer opens, he seems to be on a campaign-like apology tour across the media, at another point he’s milking a cow, at still another, he’s tossing people off of buildings. And, as he begins to express himself more and more, he decides it’s time to show the world “the real me,” he says in the trailer.
Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy, a newcomer for the third season of the Prime Video show, seems to have bloodlust as he uses his shield to bludgeon someone in another big moment from the trailer.
Meanwhile, Hughie (Jack Quaid) seems to be working for the authorities, while Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) is up to his old tricks, that is until he runs into Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott...

“The Boys” Season 3 teaser trailer dropped Saturday, revealing an almost-two minute look at the upcoming season of the Amazon Prime Video series filled with lasers, blood, guts, glory and, apparently, dancing.
In the video, which you can view below, Butcher (Karl Urban) is struggling with a mysterious case of glowing, light-beam-shooting eyeballs, while Homelander (Antony Starr) is unsuccessfully attempting to curb his rage, Hughie (Jack Quaid) is having a mental breakdown in his new supe-regulation government job, Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy has awoken, Annie a.k.a. Starlight (Erin Moriarty) is crying, and there’s something that has caused Frenchie (Tomer Capone) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) to break out into an apparent big musical number, complete with backup dancers.
“The Boys” Season 2 finale, which dropped in October 2020, saw Butcher’s long-lost wife Becca (Shantel VanSanten) accidentally killed in front of him by Ryan, her superhero-son-via-rape by Homelander, while the young...

“The Boys” will be back in town this summer, Amazon’s Prime Video revealed Friday, along with the first footage from Season 3 of the Emmy-nominated superhero series.
The third season of “The Boys” will launch with its first three episodes on Friday, June 3. Just like they did with Season 2, showrunner Eric Kripke and “The Boys” team have decided to roll out the Season 3 episodes weekly, rather than the all-at-once dump treatment Season 1 received.
The remaining five episodes of Season 3 will launch each Friday after the premiere, leading up to the season finale on July 8.
Per Amazon, “‘The Boys’ is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes — who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and as revered as gods — abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. The Invisible Man reboot has proven to be a success with both audiences and critics alike, opening the door for more reinventions from the Universal Classic Monsters collection. Next up, it seems that Creature from the Black Lagoon will be getting the remake treatment and the studio has two McU powerhouses in mind to lead this ambitious endeavor.
After the less than stellar performance from Tom Cruise’s remake of The Mummy, the Dark Universe was pretty much dead in the water. Instead of doing something similar to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Universal then decided to focus on updated versions of their classic horror creatures with the emphasis being on standalone stories.

The impact of a fictional character death doesn’t just play out on screen. Fans who make an investment in a TV show can find themselves grieving the loss of a favorite character in a way they never expected—through emotions that mirror how we mourn in real life. A recent Popular Science article notes that professional counselors consider this legitimate grief, and marketing studies found that people “not only form relationships with their favorite characters, but with the real-life humans they watched the series alongside or went to all the movies with.” This takes on new meaning in an age where people can find a home for whatever their fandom is in an instant online. Syfy has renewed “The Magicians” for a fifth season just ahead of the fourth season premiere. The show has also promoted Henry Alonso Myers to co-showrunner for the fifth season.

In addition, Henry Alonso Myers (Ugly Betty), who has been an executive producer on the series since season 1, joins John McNamara and Sera Gamble as co-showrunner for upcoming season 5.
Based on the bestselling novels by Lev Grossman, the Ucp-produced series centers on a group of 20-something friends from Brakebills University as they discover their magical abilities and ward off evil creatures who threaten to destroy the magical world they’ve come to know.
“The Magicians raised the bar at Syfy and has gained momentum season after season, attracting a new audience to the channel. We are proud of this series as it continues to break the boundaries of storytelling,” said Bill McGoldrick, President, Scripted Content, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment.

[Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers from “The Magicians” episode “Six Short Stories About Magic.”]
As with many of Marlee Matlin’s gigs on TV, her role as Harriet on “The Magicians” wasn’t written with a deaf actress in mind. But once she landed the job, the show adjusted to reflect her unique qualities, such as incorporating more of her dry humor into the dialogue. On Wednesday’s episode, however, her deafness was the inspiration for a full storyline told from her point of view, complete with the audio tweaked to approximate for viewers her more limited hearing.
In “Six Short Stories About Magic,” which was written by series co-creator Sera Gamble and David Reed, it’s revealed that Harriet is the grown daughter of the Neitherworld Librarian, Zelda (Mageina Tovah). While her mother is content to work in the confines of the temporally slow library, safeguarding all the magical tomes, Harriet had always sought adventure in the outside world,...

“The Magicians” is never boring, and not just because it plays in the realm of fantasy. In fact, Syfy’s adaptation of the popular Lev Grossman novels never rests on its magical laurels — such as using strange mythical creatures or bizarre spells — as shortcuts to telling an intriguing story.
Instead, it constantly pushes itself to conjure up new ways to present its narrative, and the result is often as bewitching as it is bold. Take for example two episodes from earlier in the season. “Be the Penny” explores what it’s like for characters to mourn the loss of one of their own, but it’s told from the perspective of the deceased. The episode directly after, the poignant “A Life in a Day,” plays with the concept of time as two of the main characters literally spend a lifetime on what seems to be a hopeless task.

A 10-year-old boy died on Sunday due to complications from the flu while traveling with his hockey club in upstate New York — and his passing marks the latest in a string of flu-related deaths.
Nico Mallozzi, of Connecticut, came down with a fever during his trip to Buffalo with his fellow Connecticut Roughriders on Friday night. His parents, who were traveling with the team, took him to the hospital where he was diagnosed with the flu and released, but his condition quickly grew worse and the fourth-grader died suddenly on Sunday.
“It’s an impossible tragedy for to navigate,” family friend Kirsten Morin tells People.

Nicolas Cage, Aaron Johnson and Lyndsy Fonseca are set to star in "Kick-Ass," Matthew Vaughn's adaptation of the violent Mark Millar comic book.
Written by Millar and drawn by John Romita Jr., the Marvel Comics' Icon imprint book centers on a high school dweeb named Dave Lizewski who decides to become a superhero even though he has no athletic ability or coordination. Things change when he eventually runs into real bad guys with real weapons.
Johnson plays the dweeb and title character, while Fonseca plays the object of the teen's infatuation who believes Dave is gay. Cage is a former cop who wants to bring down a druglord and has trained his daughter (Chloe Moretz) to be a lethal weapon.
Christopher Mintz-Plasse is also in the cast.
