Plans are afoot to take The Minister Of Chance to the big screen - and you can get involved!
Over the past couple of years, a small and dedicated team has been working on The Minister Of Chance, a podcast series which gave a universe of his own to the character that first appeared in the BBC's Doctor Who webcast audio drama Death Comes To Time. The Minister was then voiced by Stephen Fry, playing a Time Lord who survived the destruction of Gallifrey.
Now with Julian Wadham taking on the role from Stephen Fry (courtesy of a regeneration), the cast attracted to the six-part series (funded entirely by fans) has included Sylvester McCoy, Paul Darrow, Jenny Agutter, Philip Glenister, Tamsin Greig and Paul McGann.
It's a terrific series, and you can download the six episodes that are available entirely for free right here.

In a new interview at the Minister Of Chance site, genre favourite Jenny Agutter (Logan's Run, An American Werewolf In London), fresh from the huge success of the BBC's Call The Midwife, chats about the new Marvel Avengers movie, among many other things.
The interview runs at 47 minutes, but you can jump to any part of it you like, because it's fully indexed at www.ministerofchance.com/jenny.
Jenny plays outlawed scientist professor Cantha in writer/producer Dan Freeman's fan-funded and star-studded Doctor Who spin-off The Minister Of Chance - but in this exclusive preview clip, you can hear a little of what the enduringly appealing Agutter has to say about why Joss Whedon chose her for The Avengers...and how Samuel L. Jackson nearly embarked inadvertently on a life of crime...

It's no secret that we're big fans of Doctor Who spin-off The Minister Of Chance here at Shadowlocked. We've interviewed several of the great actors in this innovative audio drama, including the mighty Paul Darrow (best known to Sf fans as 'Avon' in Blake's 7, chatted with ex-Doctor Who actor Sylvester McCoy (who not only features in Minister Of Chance but also appeared in his classic role as The Doctor in the 2001 Dan Freeman-penned audio-drama from the which Minister was derived, Death Comes To Time), and chatted to Game Of Thrones/MoC actor Anthony Gethin too.
Hopefully you guys are getting the message - if you're missing Minister, you're missing something pretty damn special in its early stages - and there's more to come that we can't even talk about right now.
In the meantime, take this opportunity to sample the first ten minutes of Minister Of Chance, courtesy...

Amendment: Thanks to commenter 'Alex' for digging even deeper into the Minister Of Chance official website to confirm that 'Death Comes To Time' producer/director Dan Freeman is the writer of the new Minister Of Chance project - effectively removing any doubt that MoC is part of the 'Whoniverse', and also removing the question mark from this feature's title!
Who are the ex-Time-Lords in question? Sylvester McCoy (Seventh Doctor) and Paul McGann (Eighth Doctor). So is The Minister Of Chance visual or audio in nature? Well, both and neither. Is it included in the TV licence fee paid for by UK viewers? Only partially - future seasons will only be funded if the first season makes enough money in iTunes downloads. Is there a Time Lord in it at all? The evidence strongly suggests that there is - and that it's an old friend of ours, the aforesaid 'Minister Of...
