Netflix’s Selling franchise, which started with Selling Sunset, is heading to the Big Apple.
The streamer has ordered Selling The City, set in New York City. It is the latest expansion of the property franchise, which has already spawned Selling The Oc and Selling Tampa.
The show is one of a number of new orders at Netflix, which has also greenlit competition series Building The Band and Battle Camp. The shows were revealed by new reality boss Jeff Gaspin, who spoke to Deadline about its overall unscripted strategy.
Selling The City follows agents at real estate brokerage Douglas Elliman as they navigate the cutthroat world of luxury real estate in New York City.
It comes from Adam Divello and his Done and Done Productions, which is behind Selling Sunset and Selling The Oc as well as Selling Tampa. The Hills creator Divello exec produces alongside Skyler Wakil, Chris Cullen and Kris Lindquist.

Adrian Vazquez bought a couch.
He’d wanted it for years. It’s a dupe of a Mario Bellini couch–still high quality, still expensive, but not quite as expensive as the genuine item. Vazquez is thrilled with it. When he rings us up for his interview, he’s sitting sprawled against it, and so is his dog, a Great Pyrenees mix named Popcorn. The couch is important not just because it represents a milestone in Vazquez’s career, but also because it features front and center in the marketing for his new home goods brand Homebody.

In another scene, agent Peggy Zabakolas walks away from a team get-together and says to her fellow agent (and onetime singer) Ashley Allen, who’s also a new castmember, “Let’s try to stop calling other women bitches.”
Amid the setting of the Hamptons home market — a residential fantasyland of mega-mansions expressly designed to engender a relaxed second-home vibe — the drama on the show includes accusations of trying to steal listings from each other, tensions over nepo babies in the biz and even an open house, led by castmember Mia Calabrese, at a residence where construction isn’t completed. There are people who stay on message — and then there’s Ryan Serhant.

Not a bad look when you’ve just published your third book, a guide to branding oneself and one’s company.
Titled Brand It Like Serhant: Stand Out From The Crowd, Build Your Following, and Earn More Money ($30, Hachette Go), the book takes readers through chapters designed as a step-by-step program that includes identifying a core identity, advice on using social media, and exhortations to “shout it from the mountaintop,” i.e. confidently and emphatically promote oneself. Another episode of “And Just Like That,” another Bravo reference!
After name dropping Bravo talent twice earlier this season, Seema (Sarita Choudhury) literally said “Bravo TV” in the sixth episode of Season 2, titled “Bomb Cyclone.”
Seema and her new Bff Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) were shopping in an Apple store when Seema invited Carrie to share a house in the Hamptons.
“‘I have never asked another single woman to share another summer house,” Seema said. “It’s just too tragic. Too Bravo TV.”
“Are you proposing we go to the Hamptons together?” Carrie asks.
“I can’t spend another weekend sharing a room with a married friend’s kid’s surfboard. But you and me, with our own two bed-three bath on the beach. Fun, fabulous, not tragic at all.”
“Summer House,” of course, is the title of Bravo’s long-running unscripted series where a group of young Manhattan friends...

Sex and the City fans were recently treated to a Bravo mashup between Ryan Serhant and the HBO series spin-off And Just Like That‘s … Seema Patel (Sarita Choudhury).
In And Just Like That … Season 2, episode 9, Seema scours the Manhattan landscape for the perfect pad for client Ravi Gordi (Armin Amiri). She finds a great apartment, represented by Serhant, who plays himself. Ravi doesn’t seem impressed, but he hasn’t seemed impressed with any of the listings.
Ultimately Serhant allows Seema and Ravi to explore the place, which is when the two realize they have hot chemistry, which they can no longer deny. They have sex in the apartment, something Seema has never done before with a client. As they leave, she lets Serhant know that they’ll take the place – and he can tell exactly how she “closed the deal.”
Serhant teased his role on the show in an Instagram video.

Million Dollar Listing: New York is not returning to Bravo anytime soon. The cable channel has "paused" the series, per Variety, so there will not be a 10th season, at least not in the immediate future. Bravo prefers not to refer to a series as cancelled since the channel could revive it at some point in the future.
Million Dollar Listing: New York is a spin-off of Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles. The New York series premiered in 2012, six years after the original series' debut. Million Dollar Listing: New York last aired on in May 2021 with the completion of a 16-episode ninth season.
Revolving around luxury real estate agents in New York, the ninth season of the reality series stars Fredrik Eklund, Ryan Serhant, Steve Gold, Tyler Whitman, and Kirsten Jordan.

The property market has closed for the long-running Bravo reality series Million Dollar Listing New York, which is reportedly “paused” for the foreseeable future. According to Variety, the real estate reality show is on pause after nine seasons. While the network has not used the word “canceled,” Variety reports that the series “won’t be returning anytime soon.” It is not unusual for Bravo to revive “paused” series years later, as seen recently with Real Housewives on Miami on Peacock. Launching as a spinoff of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles in 2013, the series revolved around brokers Ryan Serhant and Frederik Eklund as they represented property owners in New York’s five boroughs. The 16-episode ninth season premiered in May 2021 and followed the brokers as they dealt with the pitfalls of pre-and-mid-pandemic real estate. Earlier this year, Eklund — who also starred in the Los Angeles edition of the show — announced that he was leaving the franchise.

Don’t look for hot property on Million Dollar Listing New York: Bravo has paused production on the real estate show after nine seasons, Deadline has confirmed.
Launched in 2013, the series was spinoff of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles. It followed brokers Ryan Serhant and Frederik Eklund as they peddled pricey real estate in the Big Apple. Earlier this year, Eklund — also a star of the Los Angeles show — announced on Instagram that he was leaving the franchise.
“I let Andy [Cohen], the producers and executives know last week how grateful I am,” he wrote. “Eternally grateful, I mean what an incredible run we had together.”
Million Dollar Listing New York received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program. It also produced the spinoff series Bethenny & Fredrik and Sell It Like Serhant.

“Million Dollar Listing New York” has been delisted by Bravo, ending its nine-season run for the foreseeable future.
Bravo has put the New York edition of the franchise “on pause,” TheWrap has learned. The network had no comment.
By pausing the series, and not officially canceling it, the network leaves the door open for a possible return — as was the case when Peacock announced in 2021 that it was developing a “The Real Housewives of Miami” revival after the show stopped running regularly in 2014.

Fox announced that lawyer, journalist and former “The View” co-host Star Jones has been appointed judge of the first-run syndicated series “Divorce Court,” starting in September.
As television’s longest running court show, “Divorce Court” dates back to the late 1950’s, when actors used to reenact actual divorce proceedings. Today, the program features real people and real cases — ranging from divorce court proceedings to other domestic disputes.
Judge Faith Jenkins will continue through the end of Season 23 and Jones will join for Season 24. Jones, a former assistant district attorney in New York and former legal correspondent on NBC’s “Today Show,” “Nightly News” and more, said that she will “offer the parties before ‘Divorce Court,’ as well as viewers, a no-nonsense approach to the law and a decision driven by my proven legal expertise, compassion and empathy, personal experiences and hard-earned common sense.”

Jim Cummings and Pj McCabe’s “The Beta Test” is with a mad soufflé of a plot that starts with a Hollywood murder, climaxes in a nationwide sex conspiracy, and touches on everything from Harvey Weinstein to the WGA’s fight against packaging fees in between. At its heart, however, this endearingly overstuffed indie hinges on a simple observation that has nothing to do with digital growth, belittled assistants, or the Tiger Woods-directed all-dog reboot of “Caddyshack” that’s mentioned in a throwaway line by a talent agent who only speaks in throwaway lines: It’s never been easier to feel like your life isn’t good enough, and yet it’s never been harder to fuck around and find out. Literally. Temptation is only a click away, but you’d basically have to stage the heist from “Ocean’s Eleven” just to cheat on someone without getting caught.
