Ring Twice for Miranda
Stage II at New York City Center Through April 16, 2017
During Ring Twice for Miranda, while witnessing the frequent long and drawn-out arguments scenes that pepper this play’s landscape, I was reminded of Andy Warhol’s Chelsea Girls. What kept your attention during that film’s interminable arguments among Warhol’s characters was hope of some kind of satisfying resolution. Playwright Alan Hruska is by trade a litigation lawyer, so he knows how to argue. Unfortunately his characters do not share his real life expertise. I kept saying to myself “come on, get on with it!” My impatience had me physically squirming much as I did when, eons ago, I first viewed Chelsea Girls! In addition, specters of the post-apocalyptic Spike Milligan/Richard Lester film collaboration The Bed Sitting Room floated about me. Absent from Miranda’s world was the clear social satire and whimsy which sustained Mr.

Curve Digital, British publisher behind such indie gems as The Swapper, OlliOlli and Stealth Inc.: A Clone in the Dark, has pulled back the curtain on 10 Second Ninja X, the action-packed sequel arriving by way of developer Four Circle Interactive.
Pitched as a follow-up to 2014’s 10 Second Ninja, Curve confirmed that the all-new title will launch for Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on July 19, where it will be available for $9.99 (£7.99/€9.99).
Comprising 60 challenging levels littered across six distinct worlds, the core premise of the platformer tasks players with destroying everything in sight within the 10-second time limit. Sounds simple? Well, as the reveal trailer above proves, things begin to get hairy once the levels spike in difficulty.
In tandem with the announcement, Dan Pearce, Game Director at Four Circle Interactive, expressed his own excitement ahead of players laying siege to the title’s leaderboards come July.

10 Second Ninja X, the puzzle platformer game cooked-up by indie developer Four Circle Interactive comes to all major platforms this Summer, says publisher Curve Digital.
The game is a pseudo-sequel to Four Circle’s previous 10 Second Ninja, and 10 Second Ninja X aims to improve upon the foundation established by its predecessor. Four Circle Interactive’s Dan Pearce says that the follow-up arose due, in part, to the team feeling like they had some “unfinished business from the original release.”
We definitely felt we had some unfinished business from the original release, so we’re thrilled to be partnering with Curve for a PC and console release. They really get what we’re doing with the game – and, unlike some other people we spoke to, didn’t suggest we called the sequel ’11 Second Ninja’. We can’t wait to find out whether PC or console players are the best at destroying insane robots in super-fast fashion.

Exactly seven years ago, NYC auxiliary police officer Nicholas Pekearo and his partner, Yevgeniy Marshalik, were shot and killed in the line of duty. At the time Pekearo was just getting his footing as a novelist, and now his posthumously published The Wolfman is heading to the big screen.
Per Deadline, Macmillan Entertainment and Everest Entertainment Group are developing a feature film from The Wolfman, a novel written by Nicholas Pekearo in 2008 and published by Tor Books in 2009.
The story tells of a lost soul who happens to be a werewolf. He struggles with his affliction until he decides to focus on the bad guys who deserve it, including a serial killer preying on young girls.
Pekearo, a crime and comic book buff, was shot six times by the crazed gunman who also killed his partner. Both were unarmed. For more info on what transpired, check out this story in...

He’s usually pretty busy with all of his Royal duties, but even Prince William needs an outlet to help him wind down.
During his appearance at the BAFTA Give Something Back campaign launch, the Duke of Cambridge had a chance to sample the new Playstation 4 game console, and it turns out he’s a fan.
William told the press, “It’s very addictive. I’d like to get one, but I’m not sure how my wife would feel about it!”
Prince William especially enjoyed testing out a few games created by the winners of the BAFTA Young Game Designers competition, including Dan Pearce’s Hamster World Domination. His results? “Fifty-two percent clean. Not that clean, really.”...

Sigh. I miss Pearce even more now after watching “Official Business."
That's what happens when her replacement is none other than Agents Bailey and Manaro, who showed up to take advantage of their newest “asset” and mandate that Fiona assist them on a case.
Are Bailey and Manaro from the Cma? The Central Moron Agency? How can these to chuckle nuts be from the same department that brought us Tom Card and Daniel Pearce?!? Honestly, how have they not gotten themselves killed?
Typically, I really enjoy the characters Matt Nix comes up with. For example, this week Durov was creepy and sleazy, while Angela had me completely fooled with her innocent act, followed by the shocking reality of her traitorous real self.
But Bailey and Manaro just bug the crap out of me and I have figured out why: They are recycled characters from another Nix-created program!
