On Friday, Ariana Grande blessed her fans with the music video for her latest single “Thank U, Next.” The video pays tribute to classic films like “Mean Girls,” “Bring It On” and “Legally Blonde.”
“Thank U, Next” already has 500,000 views in the first two hours of being uploaded to Youtube. That’s partly due to all that’s going on in those five minutes. To make things easy, TheWrap has broken down everything you may have missed while you blacked out from excitement.

Jenner makes an appearance during the “Mean Girls”-inspired Christmas show while Grande and co. dance on stage. Like Poehler in the movie, Jenner is having a little too much fun with that camcorder.
Singer Troyé Sivan gets bullied
Sivan, who starred in the new movie “Boy Erased,” plays one of the high school students gossiping about Grande in the beginning of the video.
“Thank U, Next” already has 500,000 views in the first two hours of being uploaded to Youtube. That’s partly due to all that’s going on in those five minutes. To make things easy, TheWrap has broken down everything you may have missed while you blacked out from excitement.
Kris Jenner does her best Amy Poehler
Jenner makes an appearance during the “Mean Girls”-inspired Christmas show while Grande and co. dance on stage. Like Poehler in the movie, Jenner is having a little too much fun with that camcorder.

With homages to classic rom-coms like Legally Blonde and Mean Girls, Ariana Grande‘s “Thank U, Next” music video is a treat for movie buffs — but there’s also something in it for you TV junkies, specifically those who came of age during Grande’s tenure on Nickelodeon.
I’m referring to the appearances of Elizabeth Gillies (Dynasty), Matt Bennett (American Vandal) and Daniella Monet (Baby Daddy), all of whom co-starred with Grande in the Nick sitcom Victorious, which aired for four seasons from 2010 to 2013. Ariana Grande is known for having some amazing videos, but she may have topped them all with her "Thank U, Next" masterpiece. Not only is the song the breakup anthem of the century, but the video features movie reenactments from four classic women-led comedies - Legally Blonde, Mean Girls, 13 Going on 30, and Bring It On. And while it feels like we've been waiting forever for the "Thank U, Next" music video, the day is almost here - the video is set to drop Nov. 30! After dropping an epic trailer for the video, Grande released a behind-the-scenes peek at the real thing, and we're Hype.
Following the theme of her homage to The First Wives Club on Ellen, "Thank U, Next" inserts Grande into her favorite movies and, rather than falling into the standard rom-com formula, reinforcing the message of self-love and moving on that the song promotes. Surrounded...

Liz Gillies, star of the CW’s Dynasty reboot, has her eye on another fan-favorite reprise that could one day reunite her with Ariana Grande.
It’s been over seven years since Victorious last aired on Nickelodeon, and if it were up to Gillies the cast would return to Hollywood Arts.
“I’m so down. I keep speaking out of turn and saying I’m ready to do one tomorrow,” the actress, 24, recently told People Now’s Jeremy Parsons and Andrea Boehlke.

It's a Victorious birthday celebration. In honor of Ariana Grande's 23rd birthday, her former Nickelodeon co-stars joined together to celebrate their special starlet. "Crew minus a few // happy birthday Ariiii" castmate Daniella Monet captioned a group shot of the actors, including from left to right, Grande, Monet, Matt Bennett, Leon Thomas III and Avan Jogia. Before she ignited the pop music scene, Grande was a main actress on the young teenage television series until it ended in 2013. While the "Into You" singer turned one year older on Sunday, the group got together during the week for some late-night fun by the pool. As is mandatory of...

Writer Jesse Andrews and director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon overturn the formula for the modern teen comedy: they lay on the quirky storytelling and goofy movie parodies, but also give us characters that are reasonably human and complex. We're soon invested in a warm and rewarding drama. Young actors Thomas Mann, Rj Cyler and Olivia Cooke deal with real problems, and the movie doesn't try to change the subject to sex in every scene. A charming show, very worthwhile. You'll be kicking yourself if you don't see "The Stanford Prison Experiment" in theaters. Seriously. And, no, I'm not just saying that because I happen to know director Kyle Patrick Alvarez socially or that it's a Sundance Jury Award-winning movie or that it depicts one of the most shocking events to occur at one of America's greatest Universities over the past fifty years.* The real reason is that besides the questions it raises about the human condition and our ability to descend to abject cruelty, "Stanford" features a once in a life time cast that will dominate Hollywood for the next 15 to 20 years.* *It also has earned strong reviews to date including a 71 grade on Metacritic and 78% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Based on true events, the new drama chronicles the 1971 psychological experiment that found Stanford University students sorted into the roles of prison guard or a generic prisoner. In theory,...

The Stanford Prison Experiment, a tough, unnerving watch based on a real-life research experiment held in the early '70s at Stanford University, says as much about human nature and the effect of power over both the powerful and the powerless as it does about modern society's penchant for reality television and the constant desire to not only witness, but revel in the downfall of others. Are you a good personc You'd probably say "yes", but how closely are any of us looking when asked the questionc The titular experiment was started by Dr. Philip Zimbardo (played by Billy Crudup), a Stanford professor who took 24 college kids over the summer of 1971 and, with the flip of a coin, assigned twelve to be guards and twelve to be prisoners in a simulated prison on the Stanford campus over the course of two weeks. An ensemble led by the likes of Ezra Miller...

This is a reprint of our review from the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, and the primal impulses of humanity are revealed with chilling and ugly clarity in psychodrama “The Stanford Prison Experiment.” This year’s “Compliance”—aka the confrontational, abrasive picture at Sundance that polarizes audiences to the point of inspiring screaming matches—‘Stanford’ is even more provocative, as well as more accomplished and thought-provoking. Director Kyle Patrick Alvarez take a quantum leap into left field (his last film was the David Sedaris comic adaptation “C.O.G.”) with this examination of a disturbing true story. In 1971, psychologist Dr. Philip Zimbardo (Billy Crudup) begins the Stanford prison experiment,a landmark study of psychological incarceration examining the effects of authority, power and control as they apply to basic human behavior. With the assistance of his colleagues (James Wolk, Gaius Charles, Matt Bennett) and a real-life San...

The May 1 release of Avengers: Age of Ultron marks the "official" start of the 2015 Summer Movie Season and with that in mind, it's only appropriate to offer up a look forward at what's ahead over the next four months. What is ahead over the next four monthsc Well, a lot of movies that cost a lot of money with a few smaller features mixed in for good measure, and as much as some of us may lament the fact studios have become so franchise focused, it's hard not to admit a desire to see some of these bigger features. As a means of whittling down the flock of films arriving over the next several months I've chosen to take a look at my 20 most anticipated, which does mean there are bound to be some titles I probably ought to mention, but didn't make the list for a variety of reasons.

To some people, losing your virginity is a crucial part of your life. But to others, such as the main character Matt, it’s not quite the most important item on your agenda. The socially awkward lead character is Matt (Matt Bennett) who has dated his girlfriend Nicole (Nicole Weaver) for nearly two years and is finally up to seal the deal. Complications arise when Matt finds out that Nicole cheated on him. Filmed completely through a camera mostly by Matt’s best friend Zack (Zack Pearlman), The Virginity Hit is a weak comedic take on the traditional teen comedy.
Matt had a pretty troubling childhood considering the fact that his mom died when he was young from cancer and his dad is a drug addict. Luckily his best friend Zack adopts him into his family. Zack has a tendency to videotape everything that goes on his with friends (which...
