It begins with the abduction of a girl. The scene is quiet and innocuous until it isn’t—a car rolling up to a young girl to ask for directions as children play in the background. The driver says, “Are you Anna?” before a man grabs her and shoves her in the car the instant she says, “Yes.” We watch as though a voyeur behind the trees, helpless to do anything but wait to see what happens while a boy on his bike (Dante Hoagland‘s Howie) rides into frame for the camera to follow home. These suburbs are small so his destination just happens to be next door to the house we’re about to spend the night within. That family’s new babysitter is also named Anna and suddenly we realize what’s gone wrong.

It's alive! Or should we say "She"? That's right, kids, the Frankenstein monster's bride has been reanimated for the indie feature Frankenstein's Patchwork Monster! Check out some exclusive stills along with your first details right here.
From the Press Release
Currently in production is an imaginative and original Frankenstein film, and genre veteran Melantha Blackthorne is attached to star. Its title is Frankenstein’s Patchwork Monster.
Arguably, when it comes to iconic monsters, the first one that comes into mind is usually “Frankenstein’s monster.” It has been done to death some would say, though the producers of this steampunk noir-horror film would strongly disagree. Writer/director/producer Emil J. Novak, Sr., says: “Having Melantha involved with this film production has allowed us to go places we could only have dreamed of without her. Her knowledge and acting experience brings a new and refreshing twist to the Bride character.”

Snow Shark: Ancient Snow Beast, the feature film debut of screenwriter, director, and actor Sam Qualiana, has been acquired for worldwide distribution by Independent Entertainment, part of the Alternative Cinema network. The deal includes DVD, VOD, cable, and digital downloads.
“This is a real achievement for everyone involved with Snow Shark,” says Gregory Lamberson, one of the film’s producers. “As many filmmakers have come to realize, the market for independent genre films is brutal, and obtaining distribution can seem like an impossible goal. We’re thrilled to be working with Independent Entertainment and the wonderful people at Alternative Cinema. I know they’ll give this film the tender loving care it deserves.”
Other Alternative Cinema brands include Shock-o-Rama Cinema, Seduction Cinema, and Camp Motion Pictures. The company offers Lamberson’s first three films, Slime City, Undying Love, and Naked Fear on the two-disc DVD Greg Lamberson’s Slime City Grindhouse Collection.

From the Press Release:
Sam Qualiana, a recipient of the Buffalo Screams Horror Film Festival’s “Filmmaker to Watch” award, is the writer-director-cinematographer of this high concept project, which is being played straight; in true Roger Corman fashion, Qualiana had a title, a poster, and even a teaser before he had completed the script.
"I always have had a fear of sharks,” says the 24-year-old filmmaker. “Not a lot of things scare me, but sharks terrify and fascinate me at the same time. I can't go very far into the ocean without turning around, and even swimming in a lake gives me the willies. No other creature has freaked me out so much.

The Slime City Massacre is a sequel to the original Slime City from 1988 and now this latest feature has an official poster. The poster seen left shows off some of the central actors from the film including Lee Perkins, Debbie Rochon, Jennifer Bihl and Kealan Burke. Stephen Ramano (Shock Festival) is the artist behind the canvas on this one and director Lamberson describes the poster as "a blend of 70s sci-fi / 80's horror that the film celebrates." Have a look at this throwback to cinema art of the past and prepare for the premiere in Beloit, Wisconsin (February 18th).
A reminder of the synopsis here:
"In the wake of a "dirty bomb" attack, a New York City neighborhood known as "Slime City" has been evacuated, except for the homeless ("displaced refugees"). Four squatters searching for food in the ruins of the Zachary Devon Soup Kitchen discover a supply of mysterious wine.
