Filmmaker and actor Vas Saranga will lend a helping hand on FX's “The Strain,” TheWrap has learned. Saranga will play Hassan, a gas station night clerk who helps the central characters out of a difficult situation. Canadian viewers will recognize Saranga from his role as up-and-coming rock star, Reese, on Teletoon's live-action animation hybrid, “MudPit.” He also starred on Disney Xd's first original series, “Aaron Stone,” as Vas and recurred on Cartoon Network's “Unnatural History.” Also read: FX's ‘The Strain’ Renewed for Season 2 His film credits include “American Pie Presents: Beta House,” and the independent films “You Are Here” and “Bloodwork.
