I’m sure that back in 1999 when the Counter-Strike mod for Half-Life was first released, no one at Valve ever imagined it would still be going strong over a decade later. With sales numbers reaching beyond the 4 million mark, Counter-Strike has found it’s place as one of the all-time greatest first person shooters ever released.
Today, over 10 years later, most of us have moved on to game series such as Modern Warfare, Resistance, and BioShock. However, there are plenty of us fans who still have Counter-Strike installed on our PC’s and occasionally boot it up for a few hours of nostalgia.
Sam England, on the other hand, wants it to be more than just nostalgia. The avid Counter-Strike fan has started a petition asking that Valve release an update to the epic Fps. The last time Counter-Strike saw an update was back in 2006 with the release of Counter-Strike: Source.
