For decades, Hollywood has struggled with the concept of the reboot.
Not merely the "remake," which was a fairly common occurrence ever since Hollywood figured out how to upgrade the technology of The Wizard of Oz (1910) and re-film The Wizard of Oz (1939) -- now with sound and color! -- but specifically, the reboot.
As in upgrading not the technology but the culture of the original piece.
When The Brady Bunch Movie reboot came out in 1995, it was an audacious spectacle. It was reimagined as a tongue-in-cheek parody of 1960s/1970s culture and of the naivete of the original series.
By the early 2000s, reboots were no longer quirky experiments of avant-garde filmmakers but big money makers and even award-winning art films.
By the time Disney, Marvel, DC Comics, and Hasbro joined the reboot revolution, audiences had been lulled into a sense of tepid acceptance of all things rebooted. The visual effects were out of control.

There’s no stopping Arrowhead’s smash hit Helldivers 2, as the live-service game seems to be getting bigger and better with each passing day. The developer and its CEO, Johan Pilestedt, have been quite busy constantly trying to get fresh content out for their player base, thanks to which the title stays ridiculously fun and interesting.
Sometimes, the new additions in Helldivers 2, like the highly anticipated mechs, are announced days before their actual arrival into the game, but with the latest drop, Arrowhead knew that it was something that fans would probably appreciate in the galactic fight against the Terminids and Automatons, so it sneakily introduced it into the title.

And there’s a valid reason for its success: its vibrant work and its engaging core gameplay loop. And most important of all, it has no shortage of challenging enemies for players to fight and defeat.
Belonging to a bunch of different factions, these enemies have different abilities. Abilities that can make it very hard for gamers to defeat them. Here’s a list of some of the meanest and toughest enemies belonging to the Terminid class in Helldivers 2.
1. Scavengers

These are the most common Terminid-class enemies players would encounter in Helldivers 2. Even though they come out and attack players in large groups, taking them down is not very complicated.

Exclusive: Hasbro’s reshaping of eOne continues with multiple sources telling us that the latter will cease theatrical operations in the UK.
There will be staff reductions in the UK, which were factored into the cuts we’ve reported on in recent months. Hasbro’s cost-cutting plan, announced in January, involves shedding 15% of the company’s global workforce this year, or about 1,000 positions.
Hasbro declined to comment on the move to end UK theatrical.
This is the latest bitter pill to swallow in a UK market whose independent distribution landscape has been hammered in recent years.
Hit by Covid and inflation, as well as grappling with shifting viewing habits and strain on infrastructure, the sector hasn’t yet recovered to pre-pandemic levels. Last year, box office was almost 30% down from a few years ago and polarization increased to its highest level in more than a decade with the top 20 movies...

Horror stalwart Devon Sawa (“Chucky,” Final Destination, Idle Hands) delivered a memorable turn in 2020’s survival horror Hunter Hunter. He’s set to return to the wilderness once more with Consumed, the latest horror movie by The Butcher Brothers.
THR reports that Sawa will play a “wild madman” the central married couple will encounter on a camping trip. Of course, it’s not the madman that’s the most significant threat; there’s something else in the woods with them.
Courtney Halverson (Unfriended, St. Agatha) and Mark Fariglietti (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines) costar with Sawa as “Jay and Beth, a married couple taking a celebratory camping trip a year after Beth’s cancer remission, who find themselves trapped between a wild madman (Sawa) and a skin stealing monster.”
A skin stealing monster, plus Sawa in a wild turn? We’re in.

Each "Star Trek" show is, despite its tendency to focus on starship and space station captains, an ensemble drama. Each series (the first two seasons of "Picard" notwithstanding) is about the workplace dynamic on board a space vessel, with characters of different backgrounds and personalities working together to solve crises. The characters may occasionally butt heads, but "Star Trek" creator Gene Roddenberry (in)famously discouraged that sort of conflict, preferring to depict a future where everyone got along, or at least treated each other with professional respect.
The group dynamic of "Star Trek," however, occasionally led to a perhaps-unconscious reliance on certain archetypes. Each Trek show, for the most part, features Stalwart Captain, Approachable Guy, Sensitive Soul, Culture Shock Alien, The Muscle, The Broody Outsider, Impatient Weirdo, Nerdy Tech-Head, and Inexperienced Noob. These broad "types" could alternately be combined into a single character or spread among many, but one can...
