Founder / CEO, Protege, the highly successful mass market athletic footwear and lifestyle company that
cumulatively sold more than $640M in branded performance apparel, footwear and accessories distributed nationally in over 3,500 stores. Known for its philanthropic philosophy, Protégé donated one million pairs of shoes to African nations and other countries via the "Good Samaritan's Feet" organization as well as $300,000 to the YMCA and $300,000 to The Boys Club of America.
Executive Producer / Director: "Stars on Stars" series on Fox Sports Network, the talk show aired nationally highlighting meaningful discussions among celebrities in entertainment and sports. The TV series included Kobe Bryant, Vijay Singh, Randy Moss, Mark Cuban, Kareem Abdul- Jabbar, Adam Sandler, Mark Cuban, Jim Brown, Spike Lee and Marshall Faulk.
Brand Management & Start Up Operations: Instrumental in the start-up and operations of the "Starbury" brand, a footwear and apparel line sold at Steve and Barry's, featuring Stephon Marbury. Supported the mass media side of the Starbury brand by securing a 13 episode talk show series on Fox for Stephon Marbury on television, as well as a 60 Minute documentary. Starbury grossed more than $300 million in U.S. sales.
Partner / Executive Producer: Rodney has a signed production & programming deal with industry veteran, Ted Field, CEO of Radar Pictures. The joint venture, dubbed Protégé Media, creates quality programming in film, TV and digital media with meaningful minority and female involvement - both in front of and behind the cameras. Radar has produced and exec produced more than 90 feature films
including Jumanji, "Revenge of the Nerds" and including "The Last Samurai," "Runaway Bride," "3 Men and a Baby," "Cocktail," "Springbreakers" and "Riddick."
Athlete Management: Rodney has been involved in the professional athletic management field
since 1993. He has maintained strong relationships in the sports world, which serve him well
throughout his current endeavors.
