It feels like we have been hearing about Knights of Badassdom forever. The action / horror / fantasy / comedy from director Joe Lynch (Holliston) is due out this summer. The film stars a top-notch roster of genre favorites like Ryan Kwanten (True Blood), Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), and Summer Glau (Firefly), a group of LARPers (live-action role playing) who discover that monsters and demons are real - and they're hungry. Newcomer Brett Gipson will surely join the ranks of his costars when Knights of Badassdom hits theaters. We grabbed him while he was still taking our calls to tell us about the film. Tell me about your role in Knights of Badassdom. Essentially, it's a group of live-action role players -...

The horror comedy Knights of Badassdom has a new trailer, which was recently released at the San Diego Comic Con. The film stars Steve Zahn, Peter Dinklage, and Summer Glau, in a film set in the Larp universe. Of course, Larp stands for Live Action Role Playing and the film looks like a page out of medieval times.
In the clip, a Larp showdown turns dangerous when Eric (Zahn) releases a succubus during his make believe spellcasting. Then friends die and Eric must make right that which is truly evil and wrong. Have a look at the clip inside, with Knights of Badassdom likely to release later in 2011.
The synopsis for Knights of Badassdom is below:
"In this comedic fantasy adventure, Joe (Ryan Kwanten) is a heavy metal rocker who's just gone through a painful breakup with his girlfriend, Beth (Margarita Levieva). His concerned roommates (Steve Zahn, Peter Dinklage) kidnap...

I’m a huge fan of director Joe Lynch – from his first film Wrong Turn 2, to his appearances with Adam Green at FrightFest every year along with their “Road to FrightFest” shorts. His latest movie is the epic-sounding Knights of Badassdom, which stars Ryan Kwanten, Steve Zahn, Summer Glau, Peter Dinklage, Margarita Levieva, Jimmi Simpson, Danny Pudi, Brett Gipson and Michael Gladis, and tells the story of a group of LARPers (Live Action Role Players) who must become the heroes they’ve been pretending to be when they accidentally summon a demonic force for real.
After being dumped by his sexy girlfriend Beth, Joe (Kwanten) reluctantly decides to join Eric (Zahn) and his LARPing (Live Action Role Players) friends in the woods rather than stay behind and feel sorry for his newly single status. There he meets hot, ass-kicking, intimidating LARPer Gwen (Glau), and finds himself plunged into a...

With the Comic-Con panel just wrapping up this afternoon, we now have our first trailer for Knights of Badassdom. If you liked the last forty minutes or so of 2008′s Role Models, then I think you will dig this. In what looks to also be a much funnier version of Your Highness, Badassdom features LARPer’s (live action role players for those keeping tabs), that get in over their heads. Joe Lynch directs this smaller budget effort that mixes comedy, horror, and heavy swordplay.
With a cast including Ryan Kwanten, Steve Zahn, Summer Glau, Peter Dinklage, Margarita Levieva, Jimmi Simpson, Danny Pudi, Brett Gipson, and Michael Gladis, you can check out the trailer below via their Facebook page.

Joe Lynch and company have released a new still from their upcoming Larp horror/comedy “Knights of Badassdom” featuring Summer Glau and a big ol dangerous looking sword. The film stars other people, too, but let’s face it, this movie isn’t getting all this Internet press because it stars all those “other people”, or because it’s about Larp’ing. Summer, and some previously released pics featuring Peter Dinklage from the movie below. Live Action Role Players must become the heroes they’ve been pretending to be when they accidentally summon a demonic force for real. Starring Ryan Kwanten, Steve Zahn, Summer Glau, Peter Dinklage, Margarita Levieva, Jimmi Simpson, Danny Pudi, Brett Gipson, and Michael Gladis. No release date yet. I’m guessing a limited release late 2011 followed by a quick turnaround on DVD. I could be wrong, of course. “Like” the film on Facebook...

I have a huge soft spot for director Joe Lynch – his first film Wrong Turn 2 was all types of awesome and his appearances with Adam Green at FrightFest every year are always a highlight, as are the duos “Road to FrightFest” shorts, so I may be a tad biased when it comes to anything Lynch has a hand in – but there’s no way Anyone can’t be excited about his next feature – Knights of Badassdom, hell even the title is cool!

Yeah, I’m sold. Where’s the ticket office?

Stricken Concept PosterThe independent thriller Stricken had an appearance at the Action on Film International Film Festival in late July of this year and Stricken won Best Visual Effects at this event along with Best Horror Film. Stricken stars David Fine (Sensored), Stephanie French, Christina L. Tellifson, and Brett Gipson. The film's sub-plots involve suicide, hauntings, and murder. Have a watch of a first teaser clip for the feature, where the dead come back to life for a little fun and bloodshed.
The synopsis for Stricken:
"After her mother's death and her father's brutal suicide, 25 years old Sarah Black fears she is losing her grip on reality. She is haunted by nightmares and terrifying visions, and she can't shake the feeling that something evil is about to find her. When people she cares about start to die,...
