Charlie Davis, an executive vp postproduction at CBS Films, died Aug. 3 in Los Angeles. He was 51.
Davis joined CBS Films in March and oversaw the postproduction and related activities of CBS Films' first three movies -- "The Back-up Plan," "The Untitled Crowley Project" and "Beastly."
Before CBS Films, he was at Marvel Studios as senior vp postproduction since 2006. He was a key liaison between the filmmakers and the company on "Iron Man" and "The Incredible Hulk."
A native of Tucson, Ariz., Davis also enjoyed a 15-year stint at 20th Century Fox, where his most recent title was senior vp feature postproduction. In that role, he facilitated the postproduction needs of the advertising, visual effects and domestic/international distribution departments on numerous large-scale films including "Night at the Museum," the "X-Men" series and "Fantastic Four."
Davis is survived by his wife, Noreen, and teenage sons Bryce and Evan. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.
