The Fray have responded to criticism of their televised rendition of the Us National Anthem. The group, who performed an acoustic version of 'The Star-Spangled Banner' at the Ncaa championship game last night, have since said that they knew it would receive a mixed reaction. Guitarist Dave Welsh tweeted: "Upon thinking about it, doing the National Anthem is a bit like choosing between Jif and Skippy. You just can't please everyone." Grammy Award-nominated band The Fray has announced the first public concert to preview their first single and self-titled album in December. The group will be at the Vail Snow Daze festival on December 13 to preview track "You Found Me."
The long-awaited first single will have its world primetime premiere on November 20 as the song featured in a music video for ABC hit series "Lost." The music video will air inside the network's "Grey's Anatomy," the same show which featured their 2006 hit "How to Save a Life."
The band will also perform the song live at the American Music Awards on November 23.
